On this day, Qin Di (Qin Ku's clone) found Zhenru Temple.

He had a Buddha fire, nine Grade Six Immortal Swords, 8,000 Ghost Kings, and 200 Ghost Immortals. Apart from that, he had nothing else. He didn't even have a Celestial Stone, much less the Spirit Immortal Grotto-heaven that he had picked up in the past. Although he had cracked more than half of those Spirit Immortal Grotto-heaven, there were still many left.

Since he had chosen to cultivate Buddhism, he had to calm his heart and prepare to be an ascetic monk.

Zhenru Temple was huge, but the palace was simple and old. It looked gray and didn't have any dazzling decorations.

Monk Xu Yun already had three disciples. They were called Chuan Deng, Hai Yin, and Ben Huan.

The first step for Qin Di to enter Zhenru Temple was to shave.

Qin Di looked at the long hair on his master's head and asked, "Master, can I skip this step?"

Monk Xu Yun shook his head, "No, hair represents the troubles of the world, past mistakes, and arrogance. Shaving is to get rid of all worries and focus on cultivation."

Qin Di mustered up his courage and asked, "Master, why do you still have hair?"

Monk Xu Yun said calmly, "I keep my hair because it's a product of a special period of time. Cough cough, let's not talk about what happened in the past …"

Since he had to shave, he would shave. Anyway, to Qin Di, this was just an external appearance. As long as he thought about it, he could grow it back at any time.

After the shave, Xu Yun threw him three scriptures. One was the Diamond Sutra, one was the Vimala Sutra, and the last was the Raka Sutra. He said, "I'm from the Zen lineage. Zen focuses on the heart and seeing one's nature to become a Buddha. The main method is meditation and enlightenment. I will slowly teach you in the future. Whether or not you can achieve perfection depends on your own nature. "

Qin Di clasped his hands together and said, "Thank you for your teachings, Master. May I ask Master, what is our Buddhist sect pursuing? "

Xu Yun replied, "To see one's nature, to go from mortal to saint, to surpass all space-time, karma, past, and future. You will obtain freedom from all worldly affairs and all comforts and become a Buddha."

"Master, what is' seeing one's nature '? What exactly does' nature 'mean?"

"It refers to the pure and natural heart that people originally have. The nature of the heart is pure, and the nature of Buddha is there. Only by seeing nature can one become a Buddha."

"Master, can a person's temperament be so powerful? I heard that Buddha is omnipotent. Did he cultivate this way as well? "

Xu Yun was silent for a moment and said, "The beginning is the Buddha-heart, the benevolent heart, the pure heart, and the free heart. This heart is surrounded by worldly karma and contaminated by all kinds of bad habits. You must enter meditation, break through the three levels, and see your heart clearly before you can become an Arhat. Then, you must release the Buddha-heart. After this heart turns into fire, it will produce a Buddha-fire. With Buddha-fire, you will become a Bodhisattva, and you will have the ability to subdue dragons and tigers. Then, you will cultivate Buddha-fire from the first level to the ninth level. In the end, the Buddha Flame would sublimate and transform into a true Buddha. Only then would one be able to penetrate the heavens and the earth, capture the clouds and grab the moon, and possess great abilities that transcend the mortal world. "

Qin Di listened and seemed to understand, but there were still many questions. He wanted to ask again, but he was stopped by Xu Yun.

Xu Yun waved his hand and said, "Memorize these three scriptures first. Then, go to the Sea of Sufferings and meditate for a hundred years. "

Qin Di held the scriptures in his hand and scanned them with his divine sense. Soon, he memorized the scriptures. However, the subsequent understanding couldn't be completed in a day or two.

He followed the instructions and slowly walked to the edge of the Sea of Sufferings and sat down cross-legged.

At first, his thoughts were chaotic, like a mess. Gradually, his heart began to calm down. Soon, he entered the state of first meditation. His heart was clear, and nothing was disturbed.

First meditation belonged to worldly dhyana. The so-called worldly dhyana referred to ordinary people or those who cultivated their minds and nature. In order to refine pills and cultivate Qi, they would meditate, adjust their Qi, meditate, or absorb the spiritual Qi of a tree under a big tree. They could even meditate under the sun and moon, regardless of day or night. They could prolong life and achieve physical and mental health and comfort. There were even cases of healing and sensing. Such a method was called worldly dhyana by Buddhism. Compared to enlightenment, these were still a long way off!

The state of first meditation was divided into three states. The Buddhists called it the "Three Heavens." They were the Brahma Heaven, the Brahma Heaven, and the Great Brahma Heaven. These three heavens didn't require food, so there was no nose or tongue. Only the three senses of pleasure and the eyes, ears, and body corresponded.

Qin Di only spent three months to complete first meditation. As he was a Spirit Immortal, it wasn't difficult for him to not eat, drink, or move like a mountain.

Then, he entered the state of Second Meditation.

His heart was peaceful, and his body leaked out. This was called Second Meditation.

The Second Meditation also had three heavens. They were the Lesser Light Heaven, the Immeasurable Light Heaven, and the Bright Sound Heaven. These three heavens didn't have the first five senses. There was only consciousness. Because of this, only the two senses of pleasure and giving corresponded with consciousness.

After half a year, Qin Di entered the Three Meditation.

His heart was peaceful, and his heart was filled with joy. This was called the Three Meditation.

The Three Meditation also had three heavens. They were the Lesser Clear Heaven, the Immeasurable Heaven, and the Whole Clear Heaven. These three senses were similar to the Second Meditation. However, the state of pleasure in consciousness was more pure.

Qin Di spent a long time on this step. In order to achieve true peace in his heart, he spent a full three years.

Then, he began to enter the state of the Four Meditation.

There were no five senses and no pleasure and giving. There was only giving and receiving, which corresponded with consciousness. This was called the Four Meditation.

The Four Meditation had nine heavens. They were the Cloudless Heaven, the Blissful Heaven, the Vast Fruit Heaven, the Thoughtless Heaven, the Vexed Heaven, the Heatless Heaven, the Benevolent Heaven, the Benevolent Heaven, and the Lustful Heaven.

Qin Di spent a total of 20 years on this stage.

When he was done, before he opened his eyes, he heard his master, Monk Xuyun, say, "I asked you to meditate for a hundred years, but I didn't expect you to complete the first step in only 20 years. The First Meditation is because your heart is unstable, so there is a fire outside. The Second Meditation is because of the joy of meditation, so there is a flood outside. The Third Meditation is because of heavy breathing, so there is a wind outside. Only the Fourth Meditation is because of all internal and external troubles. Everything is fine, so disasters cannot befall you. "

Qin Di sat quietly, still not opening his eyes. His master's voice kept ringing in his ears.

"Don't get up next. You can continue sitting. You have completed the Four Meditation and Eight Steadying of Buddhism. It can be considered that you have ended your cultivation in the colored world. Later on, you will enter the Colorless Realm and step into the Four Emptiness Steadying, also known as the Four Colorless Steadying. "

"What is the Four Emptiness Steadying? They were the Boundless Steadying of Emptiness: It was a cultivator who wanted to escape from the cage of suffering. Therefore, he abandoned his desires and entered the boundless void, achieving the boundless correspondence between his heart and emptiness. The Boundless Steadying of Consciousness: It was a cultivator who hated the external void, so he abandoned the void and entered the inner consciousness, achieving the boundless correspondence between his heart and consciousness. The Void Steadying of Emptiness: It was a cultivator who hated the external void, so he observed the heart and consciousness, achieving the boundless correspondence between his heart and consciousness. The Void Steadying of Emptiness: It was the absence of coarse thoughts (non-thoughts), but it was not the absence of detailed thoughts (non-thoughts). It was the state of being intoxicated, having no love or joy, and being pure and inactive … "

After saying that, Monk Xuyun left again.

Qin Di continued to meditate. He did not eat, drink, think, or move. After another 30 years, he completed the first step of the Four Emptiness Steadying.

Another 40 years later, he completed the second step.

From the moment he began meditating beside the Nine Seas of Sufferings, it took a total of 300 years for Qin Di to complete the Four Meditation and Eight Steadying. At this time, his body had become thin. However, the sixth-level Buddha Fire had already risen from his dantian to his heart, lighting up his entire heart palace!

He still did not eat, drink, or open his eyes.

After another 800 years, he had become as thin as a match. Only then did he completely refine the Buddha Fire and transform it into his own flame of life.

The origins of this Buddha Fire were complicated. It was originally an unknown low-level spiritual fire. Perhaps it came from a young monk who was meditating and worshiping Buddha. After he died, it was left behind. After it fell into Qin Di's hands, it gradually grew after repeated fire sacrifices. During the process of the fire sacrifice, Qin Di's consciousness had already been added. Even so, it still took him a thousand years to truly merge with his Buddha heart and completely become his Buddha Fire.
