Chapter 99

The Hogwarts final exams were divided into theoretical and practical exams.

There was no need to talk much about theoretical magic. Transfiguration, Potion Theory, Magic Spells, and so on only had to be written. The practical exams were the practical application part of the Defense Against Black Magic and Magic Spells class.

And with Jon's standard, these exams were not a problem.

But in order not to stand out too much, he just stuck with Stephen's results. Although they were still excellent in the end, they were not that outstanding.

The overall results of Hufflepuff's freshmen this year were outstanding. Professor Sprout felt that this was all due to the Magic Research Society. After all, the society had indeed contributed a lot to the learning atmosphere of the academy.

But Jon did not take it seriously. He felt that this year's interest was only because everyone was greedy for the novelty. When the freshmen entered the academy next year, everyone's interest might not be so high anymore. They would treat this as a normal thing.

But learning atmosphere was indeed very important. If they could maintain this standard, they would not be at the bottom for the next few years.

Anyway, the first place in the next few years would be Gryffindor. There was no meaning in fighting for the first place at all.

So after the exams, he brought Stephen, Fran, and Scully to his small classroom, completely ignoring the other people looking for him.

It was going to be the holidays soon. He had to tidy up this small classroom before leaving the academy.

"But there are still two more days before leaving the academy. What are you in a hurry to tidy up now?"

"Not today, not tomorrow. We're leaving the day after tomorrow. When are you going to tidy up?"

Stephen automatically ignored Scully's voice. He hung the last small bag on his back and signaled that he could leave.

Then, Scully put on a look of being overwhelmed and begged for help. He had no intention of leaving at all.

On the other side, Forren was packing up the books that Stephen had forbidden him from reading before the exam. He turned around and glanced at the wailing Scully. He silently reached out and took the four thick books from Scully's hands. Then, he pulled Scully away with the bag in his hand.

"After the exams, the two of them can finally take a breather."

Jon looked at Scali who was being dragged away by Farren and smiled. He waved his magic wand and conjured a ball of flames, burning the last pile of books clean.

He had learned this habit from when Dumbledore had killed Edmund. It was simple, quick, and cool.

A beautiful spark burst out from the brazier. Stephen stood beside Jon with a calm expression.

"Who asked the two of them to not do proper work and study hard every day? If I didn't take the whip and chase them away, how could the two of them get such good results?"

"Yes, yes, yes. It's all thanks to Teacher Statham. Speaking of which …"

Before Jon could finish his sentence, the books in the basin had already burned out.

"Clean it up."

After casting a cleansing spell to clean up the ashes and then putting the basin back under the cabinet, Jon continued, "I heard that Scully is going to Fran's house to play this summer. Do you want to come to my house and take a look? I'm planning to find a teacher to make up for it during the holidays. After all, it's the same for one person or two people."

He thought for a moment and still felt that this topic was too boring, so he changed the reason. "I have a new sister at home. Now that there's no one at home to take care of me, and my mother is staying at my grandmother's house to take care of the child. It's so empty and boring to live alone."

"… Get lost."

Although he was not used to Jon's cheap tone, he did not refuse Jon's invitation.

Because this invitation was rather important, and he and Jon were both mature people who would never give a definite answer.

"I'll stay at home for a few days. When my parents start to annoy me, I'll consider going to your house. It's very fast anyway."

"That works too."

Jon thought about it and felt that this was a good idea. After all, the transportation in the Magic World was convenient, and it would only take a few minutes to get there.

"Then wait for my news. I may have to find a candidate for a teacher first. After I find one, I'll send you a letter. How about that?"

"Okay, that's settled then. But where are you going to find a teacher?"

Jon shook his head. "It's not settled yet. I'll wait for my mother to reply to me."

"Be careful."

"Don't worry, I naturally have someone to protect me."

Jon locked the door of the small classroom, separated from Stephen, and went to Professor Sprout's office.

It was going to be the holidays, so he had to return the keys.

Professor Sprout had already seen the students' grades by this time. She smiled and praised Jon, then let Jon leave.

When Jon left, he glanced at the corner of the interior of the office. There was an unfinished box lying there. Obviously, it was prepared by Professor Sprout for the holidays.

Sure enough, the professors of the school had their own entertainment activities.

Then,

"Have a good holiday, professor."

Jon bowed slightly and said sincerely.

"Of course, you too. Have a good holiday."

The two sides said goodbye to each other, and Jon left the office.

From now on, the holidays could be considered to have begun.

The third-grade exam finally ended at night, and Jon waited for his cousin, Béla, to come to the dining room for dinner.

"Why are you looking for me?"

"There's something good, I want to ask if you want to go."

Béla rolled her eyes at Jon and snorted. "You never look for me for anything good. Tell me, what's wrong?"

Jon more or less knew why Béla had such a big opinion of him.

But he had clearly tried his best to show his kindness. Could it be his fault that the little bean sprouts of Ravenclaw did not appreciate it?

These words could not be said in front of Béla, or else he would be easily dealt with.

Even though Jon's strength was now on par with Béla's, the relationship between siblings was naturally unequal. The elder sister naturally had a kind of intimidation towards the younger brother.

Moreover, in her own family, Mrs. Smith would always stand on the opposite side of her son over such a small matter.

However, it was too easy to change Béla's attitude. Jon handed the reply letter sent by his mother to Béla. "I'm taking you to see your idol, do you want to go?"

Béla finished reading Mrs. Smith's letter in a flash. Her mind was filled with Lohat's figure, and she couldn't wait to leave immediately.

"The signing event this time is in Manchester. I'll arrange for someone to go there first. When you're there, you can't use magic everywhere. You have to remember this."

Béla generally knew about Jon's matters, and the fact that Jon was very rich in the Muggle world was not a secret at home.

"Don't worry."

Béla's eyes were full of smiles.

"I know what to do."
