Yan Zhaoge sat across from Zhou Haosheng, who was silent for a long time before asking, "Little Friend Yan said that you obtained a treasure. Could it be related to the Emperor and the Sacred Light Sect that year?"

"I can't be sure either." Yan Zhaoge said truthfully, "This was obtained by this Yan in the past, and the original owner of this treasure was once pursued by the Radiant Light Sect."

Hearing his words, Zhou Haosheng instantly raised his snowy white brows slightly.

Yan Zhaoge continued, "After analysing it myself, I could feel that this treasure should indeed be related to the Dim Radiant Emperor and the Dim Radiant Sect that year."

Zhou Haosheng was silent once more as Yan Zhaoge looked calmly at him.

After a while, Zhou Haosheng said slowly, "Actually, this old man does not know the truth behind the Emperor's death that year."

He paused for a moment before adding, "Besides the Emperor, the higher echelon of the Sacred Light Sect had mostly perished as well. Those who remain are few and far between."

Yan Zhaoge frowned.

The Dim Radiant Emperor Yin Tianxia could be said to be one of the peak experts who had appeared after the Great Calamity.

His death had affected them greatly. Yet, even those of the Dim Radiant Sect themselves actually did not know the truth behind it, not knowing who their enemy was?

"Did the Three Sovereigns act? Or did other figures with the title of Emperor surround and attack him? "Yan Zhaoge asked straightforwardly.

Zhou Haosheng's voice was much deeper, "Our predecessors all had their guesses, but were ultimately unable to grasp the gist of it. There are many things that we are also powerless to investigate."

His gaze was distant as the scenes of old legends surfaced within his mind.

Back then, the Dim Radiant Sect had still been at its peak. The Dim Radiant Emperor Yin Tianxia had led his subordinates in leaving their main altar, rumoured to be heading to a foreign land.

Everything had seemed very normal. Who knew that he would never return.

The bigwigs of the Dim Radiant Sect who had remained behind had tried to contact him, yet received no reply.

One day, the Dim Radiant Emperor Yin Tianxia had returned alone to the main altar of the Dim Radiant Sect, perishing in meditation on the very same day.

Before his death, the disciples of the sect had asked him about it. Yin Tianxia had remained silent as he had written a strange rune amidst space.

After his death, that rune had expanded into a black hole, sucking his corpse in.

The structure of the Dim Radiant Sect's main altar had collapsed on a large scale, the fragments surrounding the rune and Yin Tianxia's corpse forming a massive mausoleum.

In the end, the mausoleum disappeared into the depths of the black hole. The black hole rotated and transformed into a stream of light that shot into the sky, disappearing without a trace.

Words appeared in the empty space, saying, "Disperse."

Everyone in the sect was at a loss. Still, they knew that their Dim Radiant Sect had met with a great tribulation this time.

Henceforth, the Dim Radiant Sect which had been renowned in pre-Great Calamity times and possessed even more shocking power in the post-Great Calamity World gradually fell into decline.

In the process of the Dim Radiant Sect's rise to prominence, they had made quite a few enemies as well. Now that they were weak, they had been kicked by many when they were down. Thus, they had grown even weaker.

In the end, light and darkness split apart, and a huge monster vanished into thin air.

Yan Zhaoge pondered as he asked, "Invading a foreign dimension … the Nine Underworlds?"

Zhou Haosheng shook his head. "I don't know the details either."

He looked at Yan Zhaoge, "The whereabouts of the Emperor's corpse as well as any treasures that might have been there are unknown. Ever since then, there has been a legend amongst us descendants, a legend regarding the Dim Radiant Mausoleum."

Yan Zhaoge smacked his lips, "Does Chief Zhou mean that this thing in this Yan's hands is related to the Dim Radiant Mausoleum?"

"That is what this old man thinks." Zhou Haosheng said slowly, "After the Emperor perished, he did not leave behind any relics. If I must say, when the mausoleum was constructed that year, some fragments were scattered down. These might be the only treasures that are related to the Emperor himself."

Yan Zhaoge nodded slightly, retrieving that metallic fragment that was half-black and half-white and placing it on the table before slowly pushing it towards Zhou Haosheng.

A shocking glow suddenly erupted from Zhou Haosheng's eyes.

He did not reach out to take it. Instead, his gaze turned condensed to the point of being tangible as he focused on that metallic fragment.

A dim yet condensed, vigorous light flickered slightly within his pupils, growing dimmer and dimmer until it finally transformed into deep, tranquil darkness.

A wondrous scene appeared on the metallic fragment. The white half turned incomparably dim while the black half emitted bright light.

Seeing this, Yan Zhaoge nodded to himself. Experts at Zhou Haosheng's level indeed possessed great power with just a casual movement of their hands.

The metallic fragment that was half-black and half-white shook unceasingly, the surrounding space actually showing signs of collapsing with it as its centre.

Yan Zhaoge and Zhou Haosheng's spirits both rose, "From the looks of it, it really is strange."

Zhou Haosheng pondered for a moment before raising his head to look at Yan Zhaoge, a probing look appearing within his gaze.

Yan Zhaoge nodded slightly, indicating that he could do as he pleased.

Zhou Haosheng immediately extended a finger, lightly tapping on that metallic fragment. An unusual lustre was instantly refracted from the surface of the metallic fragment.

The surrounding space collapsed completely, actually forming a tiny black dot from which a terrifying suction force was emitted, vaguely resembling a spatial crevice.

Zhou Haosheng stabilised it before retrieving an item from his Shadow Shrinking Pouch.

Looking over, Yan Zhaoge saw that it was clearly a roof tile. It was completely black in colour, not showing any lustre at all as it seemed to contain a profound aura.

It was just that this black tile was damaged.

Thinking of what Zhou Haosheng had mentioned earlier, Yan Zhaoge knew that this should also be the remnant fragments left behind by the Dim Radiant Emperor Yin Tianxia when he had constructed the mausoleum after his death.

As the metallic fragment met that damaged black tile, the two instantly shook, the surrounding space growing even more unstable.

Seeing this, Zhou Haosheng retrieved two more items. There was wood and stone, clearly also similar in nature to the black tile.

When gathered together earlier, these items had not reacted at all. Now, however, gathered around that metallic fragment that was half black and half white, they all shook as a profound lustre was emitted from them.

Zhou Haosheng's brows relaxed, a smile appearing on his face.

Yan Zhaoge observed carefully for a moment, "This alone still seems insufficient to confirm the location of the Dim Radiant Mausoleum?"

Zhou Haosheng smiled, "We have already seized the initiative greatly, far surpassing those rebels of the Radiant Light Sect."

Yan Zhaoge smiled as well, "This is indeed good news."

Streams of light circulated amidst that dark space, seemingly guiding one in the right direction.

Zhou Haosheng memorised the changes in space within, as did Yan Zhaoge.

Waking, Zhou Haosheng suddenly found himself unable to smile as he looked at Yan Zhaoge.

While they were mortal enemies, whether it was the Radiant Light Sect or the Dim Darkness Sect, they both believed themselves to be the most orthodox descendants of the Dim Radiant Sect.

The Dim Darkness Sect had always believed themselves to be the most logical successor to the items left behind by the Dim Radiant Sect that year.

There was naturally even less to say about the Dim Radiant Mausoleum. The Dim Darkness Sect would definitely want to monopolise such an existence.

While their current relationship with Yan Zhaoge was not bad, the Dim Darkness Sect would be more willing to compensate and thank Yan Zhaoge in other areas, not wishing to share the Dim Radiant Mausoleum.

The white-clothed old man sighed, suddenly feeling rather troubled. (To be continued.)
