The students who were looking forward to learning some real skills were disappointed to find that the Duel Club had become a joke.

Lockhart had wanted to demonstrate how to duel, but he had picked the wrong opponent. Snape was definitely not a little wizard that he could manipulate in class.

After Lockhart counted down to three, Snape waved his wand lightly and a dazzling red light flashed in front of everyone. Lockhart lost his balance and flew out of the stage, crashing into the wall before sliding down and curling up on the floor.

Elwyn inhaled sharply. That was not a light fall.

Amid the screams of the girls, Lockhart staggered to his feet. His hat had fallen off and his wavy hair was standing on end.

He staggered and climbed back onto the stage, only to realize what had happened.

"I think everyone saw it. This is a disarming spell. As you can see, I lost my wand."

"And flew out!" Boos came from the audience.

But everyone underestimated the thickness of Lockhart's skin. He waved his hand at the audience and took the boos as compliments.

"Yes, Professor Snape. It's a great idea to demonstrate this move to the students. But don't mind me saying this. Your intention was obvious just now. If I wanted to stop you, it would be effortless. I think that in order to broaden their horizons, we should show them … "

Noticing the murderous look on Snape's face, Lockhart hurriedly said, "Okay, okay, the demonstration is over. Now I'll come among you and divide you into pairs. Professor Snape, if you're willing to help me … "

They made their way through the crowd and paired everyone up.

Lockhart paired Neville and Justin while Snape walked in front of Harry and Ron.

"The Dream Team should be broken up, I think!" He sneered. "Weasley, you can pair up with Mason. As for you, Potter …"

Hearing his words, Harry subconsciously moved closer to Hermione.

"I don't think so," Snape said with a cold smile. "Malfoy, come over here. Let us see what kind of person you can make the famous Potter into. Miss Granger, you can pair up with Miss Millison. "

Malfoy walked over arrogantly, a smug smile on his face.

Behind him followed a Slytherin girl. She was tall, strong and stocky, her thick chin thrust forward aggressively. Hermione forced a smile at her, but she ignored her.

The following duel was a nightmare. Just as Lockhart shouted three, two, one, a green smoke filled the air above the venue.

Harry and Malfoy were hit by each other's curses until Snape walked over to help them. Neville and Justin were both lying on the floor, panting. Hermione and Millison were still moving. Millison was holding Hermione's head, and Hermione was crying out in pain. Both of their wands were forgotten on the floor.

Harry hurriedly jumped forward and pulled Millison away.

The worst was still Elwyn and Ron's team. Before the duel started, Elwyn had asked Ron to use a weapon other than yours on him. The power of the curse was very low. With Ron's magic, even if he was hit, his wand would at most be sent flying. It would not be as exaggerated as Snape sending Lockhart flying.

In the next second, Elwyn realized he was wrong.

A dark blue light flew out from Ron's wand. Elwyn had never seen a curse with such a light. It looked like evil black magic. This was definitely not the Avada Curse, but Elwyn felt the danger of death from it.

He knew he could not take it head-on. He shouted, "Obstacles!" and turned to the side.

The obstacle curse seemed to be working. The dark blue light slowed down and accurately landed on the spot where Elwyn had been standing.

As if it had been contaminated by strong acid, Elwyn saw the marble floor quickly corrode and sink in. The surrounding wizards gasped.

"Oh my god, Ron! What did you use?" Elwyn shouted in shock.

"I don't know!" Ron seemed to have just woken up. "You know, I just used a weapon to get rid of you. I didn't know it would turn out like this."

Snape hurried over and looked at the marks on the floor with a gloomy face. After a few seconds, he raised his head and looked at Ron with a strange expression.

"Weasley, did you peek at the books in the forbidden section?!" "His tone was more like a question than a question.

"No, no!" Ron remembered the book "Powerful Potion". He stuttered and looked very suspicious.

"Needless to say, it must be your broken wand that's the problem," Roland said. Seeing Ron's expression, Elwyn knew he was in trouble. He could not let Snape find out that they were brewing a compound soup. He quickly changed the topic. "Ron, before you get a new wand, I will not spar with you anymore."

"But, what is this curse?"

"Enough!" Snape shouted harshly. "If I allow you brainless idiots to continue practicing, I'll be collecting your corpses tomorrow."

"That's right, Professor Snape." Lockhart followed. "I think it's best to teach them how to stop unfriendly magic. Is there a pair willing to demonstrate? Longbottom and Fenrir, what do you think? "

"That's not a good idea, Professor Lockhart." Snape glided across the stage like a vicious bat. "Just like the brainless Weasley, Longbottom can use the simplest spell to cause damage. We will put Fenrir's remains in a matchbox and send them to the hospital. "

Neville's pink face turned even redder. Snape grinned. "How about Malfoy and Potter?"

"Wonderful!" Lockhart gestured for Harry and Malfoy to walk to the center of the hall. The crowd moved back to give them space.

Harry and Malfoy stood on both sides of the stage. Lockhart and Snape whispered to each other, teaching them some battle techniques. Lockhart didn't know what to say to Harry. He waved his wand a few times and dropped it to the ground.

What happened next was just as Elwyn remembered.

The long black snake suddenly leaped out of Malfoy's wand. It landed heavily in the center of the stage and raised its head, ready to attack.

The crowd screamed and quickly moved back, giving way to the empty space.

Snape had originally planned to scare Harry, but Lockhart made things worse. He waved his wand and sent the black snake flying high into the air, landing in the middle of the crowd.

It was furious. Flicking its tongue, it swam toward Justin Fenrir, who was closest to it. It raised its head and bared its fangs, preparing to attack.

Then everyone heard Harry begin to speak to the Black Serpent in a hissing voice, as if he was performing an ancient and mysterious ritual. Everyone held their breath and remained motionless. The auditorium was so quiet that even the sound of a pin dropping could be heard clearly.

The snake stopped, and Harry looked up at Justin, grinning from ear to ear.

Seeing his gaze, everyone took a step back. Anger and fear were written all over Justin's face.

"What game do you think you're playing?" he shouted. Tears welled up in his eyes from fear. He turned and dashed out of the hall.
