Elwyn had no time for Malfoy, nor did he care about his gratitude. 【Love ↑ Go △ Small ↓ Say △ Net

He had risked his life to save Malfoy, Gall, and Crabbe today, but it did not mean that he wanted to improve his relationship with them and become friends.

His reason for doing so was simple. He simply didn't want them to be killed by the Eight-Eyed Giant Spider, especially in front of him.

As mentioned before, this had nothing to do with personal feelings, but rather with one's nature and conscience.

He was still thinking about the whisper that had appeared in his mind. He did not understand the meaning of those words, but there was a voice deep in his heart that kept urging him to enter the cave below.

"No one knows this secret. In the deepest part of the earth, as long as you find that emblem, you'll know everything," Elwyn repeated slowly.

To be honest, he really wanted to explore this cave.

He didn't like this feeling. Hiding in the Aragok's lair and facing an unknown existence made Elwyn feel helpless. Things were getting out of his control.

He was not the Lord Voldemort, and he might not be as evil and powerful as the Lord Voldemort.

But Elwyn knew nothing about him. He could not prepare step by step like he did against Lord Voldemort. He knew that his greatest advantage in the future was gone.

Perhaps he could go to the library to search for information or ask Dumbledore for relevant information.

But first, he had to know what the emblem that whisper was talking about looked like.

This was the only way he could find out who the other party was.

Rustling sounds could be heard in the cave. Elwyn controlled Buckbeak to descend a little. He wanted to see what was coming out of the cave.

He thought it would be Aragok and his elites, but unexpectedly, about five seconds later, a large group of dark green spiders crawled out of the crypt.

They looked very fragile, and there were faint red stripes on their bodies.

These little spiders seemed to have just hatched, and they were extremely afraid of sunlight.

They crowded at the entrance of the cave, and under the cover of the milky white fog that floated out of the cave, they drilled into the corpses hanging on the huge spider web in front of the nest.

Elwyn had Buckbeak move a little closer, and he could clearly see that as the little spiders entered, the skin of the corpses that had not been completely weathered began to bulge.

They used their newborn pincers to tear at the flesh and blood with all their might, drilling into the depths of the corpse along the blood vessels and quickly disappearing.

The entire process was extremely cruel, causing one's scalp to go numb.

Just the thought of this scene was terrifying enough. No one knew how many young Eight-eyed Giant Spiders were hidden among these nearly a hundred corpses.

It wouldn't take long for them to grow into the next generation's combat power.

Malfoy, who was sitting behind Elwyn, felt a lingering fear. If Elwyn had not saved them, he might have ended up like the corpses below, hanging there and becoming food for the Eight-Eyed Giant Spider larvae.

Looking at the scene in front of him, he felt extremely disgusted. A breeze blew past, and Malfoy was dazed. He swayed on Buckbeak's back, and he hurriedly grabbed the feathers of the hippogriff with all his might, but he could not exert any strength.

On his arm, where the Eight-eyed Giant Spider had just bitten him, he had completely lost feeling, and a numb feeling was quickly spreading throughout his body.

Malfoy wanted to urge Elwyn to quickly leave and return to the castle. He was really afraid now, afraid that there would be repercussions from receiving treatment too late.

And for some unknown reason, he seemed to be hallucinating in his mind as well.

With the invasion of the venom, he felt as if everything around him had become unreal. There was a voice in his head, whispering and echoing.

Malfoy could not hear clearly what the other party was saying, and he did not want to hear clearly.

His face was deathly pale, without the slightest trace of blood. He had long lost his usual demeanor, and now he just wanted to leave this damned place and return to the warm and comfortable castle.

Even if he had to beg Elwyn, even if he had to go back and apologize to all the Slytherin, even if he had to see Harry's happy face, he was not willing to stay here.

Malfoy was just about to speak, but he immediately stopped.

He felt something wriggling on his skin. He slowly lowered his head, and was shocked to see a small spider crawling out of the wound. It was exactly the same as the Eight-Eyed Giant Spider larvae that were crazily surging into the corpses below.

Malfoy was shocked, and just as he was about to take a closer look, the small spider disappeared again. Everything was an illusion.

The pressure from death almost made him unable to breathe.

"I'm going to die!" This was Malfoy's last thought.

The next second, his vision went black, and he fell headfirst.

Elwyn, Gall, and Crabbe did not expect Malfoy to suddenly faint. They watched him fall straight into the Aragok's nest.

"Damn it!" Elwyn hurriedly controlled Buckbeak to fly down.

Clack, clack, clack.

An adult Eight-Eyed Giant Spider suddenly crawled out of the cave. It seemed to have expected this to happen and had been waiting there for a long time.

It used its two front legs to clamp down tightly on Malfoy and dragged him as fast as it could into the depths of the cave.

Elwyn wanted to stop it, but as soon as Buckbeak landed, a swarm of small spiders quickly crawled over.

In the blink of an eye, hundreds and thousands of spider larvae crawled out of the corpses on the spider's web. Clack, clack, they quickly opened and closed their large pincers.

Gall and Crabbe let out a series of horrifying screams. The two of them clung to Buckbeak's feathers and refused to come down.

The two of them shrunk their fat bodies into a ball as much as possible, looking extremely comical.

Buckbeak flapped its wings, not daring to land. Its eyes flashed with the light of fear.

In a sense, these spider larvae were even more terrifying than the adult Eight-Eyed Giant Spider. They were densely packed together, and once they got close enough to crawl onto the body, they could bite through the skin and drill into the blood vessels. Only death awaited them.

The scene of them crazily entering the corpses was still vivid in their minds, and no one dared to touch it.

Elwyn jumped to the ground and shouted, "Blazing Flame!"

The tip of his wand emitted golden-red flames. The flames swirled, and under Elwyn's guidance, they formed a wall of fire, blocking the small spiders that were rushing over and slowly pushing forward. Soon, the entrance of the cave was filled with the smell of burnt flesh. The spider larvae let out distorted screams as they were completely killed.

In just a short while, Malfoy and the giant Eight-Eyed Giant Spider were long gone.

"Draco, he's been dragged in!" Gall pointed at the cave and shouted with a sobbing tone, "We have to save him, or else he'll die!"

Crabbe hurriedly pushed him, and carefully observed Elwyn's expression. He asked cautiously, "What should we do now?"

What else could they do? Who would have thought that Malfoy would fall from Buckbeak's body?

Everything was supposed to be over. As long as they returned to the Hogwarts and informed Dumbledore of what happened here, the matter could be safely and perfectly resolved.

But now, an accident suddenly occurred. By the time Dumbledore and the other professors dared to come, Malfoy would probably be dead.

Elwyn walked down the gentle slope two steps, and half of his body entered the cave.

In the dark, deep cave, that strange feeling appeared again. This time, he was well prepared, and did not get lost like the last time.

Deep in his heart, he had the urge to go deeper, but his rationality kept Elwyn awake.

"Let's get out of here and rush back as fast as we can to inform the professors!" Elwyn made up his mind, "If we're fast enough, we should be able to make it."

If Harry were here, he wouldn't even think about it and just rush in like this.

That was his personality, but Elwyn was different.
