In Norse mythology, the Hall of Valkyrie was where Odin received the souls of the dead.
According to legend, warriors who died in battle would be guided by Valkyrie, the one who chose the dead. They would come to this magnificent building from the mortal world and become Odin's army. They would fight alongside Odin during the Twilight of the Gods against the evil of the world.
They would fight endlessly during the day, honing their skills until they died in battle. After sunset, Valkyrie would resurrect them.
Of course, these were all myths and legends. Elwyn did not see Valkyrie.
But he soon saw it. As the Viking warships moved forward, in the center of the abyss, there was a huge statue standing in the center of the building.
It was the image of a beautiful woman. She looked like an angel with a pair of huge wings. She was wearing armor and had a solemn expression. Her arms were crossed in front of her chest, hugging an unknown spherical object. Magic surged from the object. It was an unfamiliar magic that Elwyn was not familiar with.
Like the color of the surrounding walls, the statue was dark gold, as if it was made of gold.
There were many colorful murals carved on the statue. They were all images of angelic women riding horses and patrolling with spirits. Some of them turned into swans and flew to the battlefield, resurrecting the warriors and guiding their souls into the exquisite building. These were all images of Valkyrie in myths.
"Valkyrie, find the Hall of Valkyrie!" Dumbledore said softly.
If he still had any doubts before, the colorful murals on the statue were enough to explain many things.
This was probably not a coincidence. This building might be the legendary Hall of Valkyrie, or at least it had something to do with it.
Interesting. He wanted to rescue Keresis, but he ended up in such a legendary place.
The warship continued forward, and the statue was hidden in the darkness again. Elwyn quickly recalled the information about the Hall of Valkyrie and Valkyrie.
He did not know much about the Norse mythological system, but what he knew so far was enough to shock him.
It was said that Valkyrie could bring the dead back to the mortal world, which meant resurrection.
Since ancient times, Spellcasters and Sorcerers had been pursuing immortality, using all means to conquer death.
Resurrection was a completely different thought process, but it was equally attractive. It was a way to defeat the Grim Reaper.
Although the nature of the creature resurrected by Valkyrie's magic power was questionable, it could only be a living dead, a dead person.
But this was still very attractive, wasn't it?!
Apart from having no heartbeat, what was the difference between a dead person and a living person with wisdom, emotions, body, and senses?!
This was especially true for some people, such as Dumbledore.
He definitely wanted to resurrect his sister. That was the pain and regret of his life.
If there was such an opportunity in front of him, would he give it up?
Or was it for his sister, to explore the secrets of this building? Find the power to resurrect her.
But looking at the state of the building, something tragic must have happened in history.
Considering that this place had been explored by Grindelwald and Lord Voldemort, Elwyn doubted that there would be anything left.
But since Grindelwald had been here, he might have found something. Maybe he came here to help Dumbledore resurrect his sister.
Anything was possible, because the meaning of this building involved immortality and resurrection, which was too sensitive.
"Lord Voldemort and the statue are over there!" Harry pointed to a position in the center of the abyss and said, "And Keresis …"
Everyone looked in that direction. Elijah also became anxious, but apart from the darkness, they could not see anything.
"Yes, that's right, the fun time is over!" Dumbledore suddenly said, as if he had found something. He raised his wand high. "Alasto, Sirius, take care of the three of them. Remember, don't go near the statues on the wall!"
Suddenly, a green light came down from the darkness. It was fast, like a sharp arrow.
But Dumbledore was prepared. He waved the wand in his hand, and the light around them suddenly intensified. A silver shield appeared out of thin air and blocked the spell. The spell hit the shield and made a low sound, like the sound of a gong. This strange sound was creepy.
"You still haven't improved, Tom!" Dumbledore said calmly, as if he was commenting on the performance of a student. His voice echoed in the hall, louder than the sound of the wind. "To be honest, it's disappointing. You seem to have become more evil than before!"
"I have conquered death, Dumbledore!" Lord Voldemort's voice also sounded, cold, emotionless, and without warmth.
In the dark abyss, Elwyn seemed to see a tall, thin, snake-like face wearing a black mask. The face was pale and haggard, and there was a pair of scarlet eyes with slits staring at them.
Beside him, Harry, Elaine, Sirius, and Moody were all lying on the edge of the warship, looking down into the abyss.
Lord Voldemort was down there. He had found them.
"Yes, I have no doubt about that!" Dumbledore said calmly. "But you have also lost a lot. In order to obtain something that is not important, you have given up everything. I can feel the change in your aura. I can't even tell if you are still human. This is terrible!"
He took a step forward and left the gliding Viking warships. His body quickly fell from the sky.
As soon as he left the Viking warships, his body became solid and real.
The silver shield spun rapidly around the warship, protecting them from harm.
"There is nothing worse than death, Dumbledore!" Lord Voldemort roared in a cold voice. "Defeat death, and you will obtain everything!"
Curse after curse shot out from below. They could see the dark abyss flickering with green light.
But it was useless. Dumbledore's body twisted again, and he disappeared into thin air.
Then, Elwyn heard a loud explosion. He and Lord Voldemort were fighting!
It was too far to see what was happening down there. Elwyn was wondering if he should Apparate and go down.
Just then, Harry screamed. Elwyn turned around and saw Elaine, who had been tugging at his sleeve, jumping down.
This guy was crazy. Didn't he see Dumbledore and Lord Voldemort fighting down there?!
The reason why she didn't take action just now was that she wasn't sure how to remove the spell on her body. Dumbledore's action inspired her, and she didn't hesitate.
Elwyn reached out to grab Elaine, but he didn't catch her. He could only see Elaine's body falling rapidly, getting further and further away from him.
He knew that she was worried about Keresis, but if she continued like this, she would be looking for death.
Elwyn didn't have time to think about it. He also jumped down from the Viking warships, and his body recovered from the light and shadow.
A red magic rune appeared at the end of his wand, which increased the speed of his descent. He caught Elijah in his arms.
"Silly!" Elwyn said. He saw Elaine in his arms looking at him in surprise.
