Chapter 3438

Report

The four deacons followed closely behind Lei Lie and pushed out a large bronze drum.

"Ha!"

Gus saw that Lei Lie's eyes were as round as bells. He roared, and his aura tore apart his wide black robe inch by inch, revealing his muscular body that seemed to be made of iron.

It was the typical attire of the priests of the Fist God Temple.

It showed the great strength and perfect body that looked like it was carved out of marble to the maximum.

It was a way to intimidate the believers and please the Fist God.

Then, Lei Lie punched the bronze drum, and a sound wave that could split mountains and stones spread out. It was like a tsunami hitting the shore. The sound lingered in the air and spread through the entire Red Gold Town.

The Fist God Temple, which had been bustling with noise, suddenly fell silent.

Everyone grimaced and rubbed their ears to listen to Lei Lie's instructions.

"In the ancient chaos, fierce beasts ran amok. Humans could only tremble under the claws and fangs of the fierce beasts. They could not fight back and ended up as pitiful food."

Lei Lie widened his eyes and looked around with an unstoppable gaze. He hissed, "Even if someone wanted to sharpen stone spears, tie stone axes, and make traps and catch nets, how could those fragile toys resist the ferocious beasts such as the Eight-Armed Demonic Ape, the Iron-Horned Bear, the Saber-Toothed Mad Lion, the Sky-Diving Golden Hawk, and so on?

"For tens of thousands of years, humans were trampled on, and their lives were precarious. They were about to go extinct.

"It was the Fist God who descended from the sky and turned into Mr. A Boxing Champion. He killed the fierce beasts and taught the mortals boxing techniques, martial arts, and the principles of tempering their bodies. That was why the mortals were able to protect themselves and why we, the descendants of the later generations, gradually grew stronger and killed the fierce beasts. In the end, humanity rose and became the master of this world!

"In the past ten thousand years, how did the mortals protect themselves? How did humanity rise? What did we rely on to fight against the fierce beasts? We relied on fists that were a hundred times tougher than steel!

"'All great power belongs to oneself. External objects such as swords, spears, swords, halberds, and the like are all unreliable, not to mention marvelous skills such as machinery.' This is the truth of the Path of the Iron Fist. Even a three-year-old child knows this.

"However, today, after ten thousand years, perhaps because of the long history, many people have gradually forgotten the lessons that the Fist God taught us, especially those who are weak, undetermined, lazy, and opportunistic. They no longer think about training their own strength dutifully but place all their hopes on external objects and are tempted by the wretched 'machine demons' and 'steam devils'.

"Hilarious. These people are really short-sighted. Hilarious. They don't know that the power of machines and steam can only bring temporary relief at most, but it will corrode one's mind, numb one's limbs, and consume one's strength!

"If a human being relies on the power of machines and steam all day long without training his own body, won't he turn into a pile of white mud as time goes by? When that time comes, will the so-called power of machines and steam really be reliable? "

When Lei Lie said this, he suddenly laughed loudly.

"Come on, saber!"

He waved his hands behind him.

The four deacons each held a saber that was shining coldly and slashed at his neck brutally.

Lei Lie's face was full of disdain. His muscles were shivering crazily, and his spiritual gas was wreathing him like white silk. Before the edge of the saber touched his skin, it was already blown away by him. Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! The four sabers were all broken.

"Again. Sword!"

Lei Lie continued roaring.

Each of the four deacons held a cold, heart-chilling sword that was forged from Frost Iron and stabbed towards Lei Lie's heart.

But Lei Lie snatched the four swords away. Gritting his teeth, he exerted strength in his arms and twisted the four swords into a fried dough twist.

"Do you see this?"

Lei Lie raised the broken saber and the iron dough twist and showed them to the townspeople gloatingly. "The sharpness of swords and sabers has its limits, but under the protection of the Fist God, the potential of human beings is infinite!"

It was the first time that many townspeople had seen a priest of the Fist God Temple showing off so proudly. They all exclaimed in disbelief.

"Swords and sabers are so useless. What about real machines?"

Lei Lie threw away the broken saber and the iron dough twist casually and finally got to the point. He sneered and said, "I believe that many of you know why I summoned you here today. Yes, the evil tentacles of the 'mechanical demons' have invaded the Red Gold Town and are hiding right next to us!"

As soon as this was said, the crowd was in an uproar.

Even though everybody knew what was going on, they still had to exclaim in amazement to show their devotion to the Fist God and their irreconcilability with the evil cult.

"Yesterday, someone killed a ferocious tiger on a mountain near the Red Gold Town with a crossbow. Here. This is the thing."

Lei Lie waved his hands. A deacon who was wearing gloves and covering his nose carefully picked up the crossbow with cold sweat all over his forehead, as if he was scared that the evil mechanical force attached to the crossbow would invade his body and corrupt his soul.

"A crossbow can kill a ferocious tiger. That's the limit of the mechanical force!"

Lei Lie said, "In front of a real expert, what's the difference between such a crude toy and a three-year-old's toy? Come on. Shoot here! "

He poked at his heart.

The deacon who was holding the crossbow first prayed to the Fist God and asked him to forgive his sin of operating machines.

Then, he loaded the crossbow rather clumsily according to Qin Yi's instructions, tightened the crossbow, and pulled the trigger.

Beng!

The crossbow left the bowstring and darted toward Lei Lie's chest in a streak of white light.

Lei Lie did not dodge at all. With a cold smile, he unleashed his aura and formed a vortex of spiritual gas before his chest, freezing the crossbow three inches away from his chest.

Everybody was deeply shocked by Lei Lie's invulnerability when they saw the scene. After a moment of silence, overwhelming cheers and exclamations were heard.

Lei Lie extended two fingers and picked up the crossbow from his chest, before he threw it to the bloody Qin Yi in disdain.

"Now, you should understand how stupid you are, shouldn't you?"

Lei Lie snatched the mechanical crossbow from the deacon's hands and extended it to Qin Yi. He said solemnly, "Speak. Where did you get this thing?"

Qin Yi had been served by the Fist God's Temple with all kinds of tortures last night. He had long been obedient, and he wished that he could kill himself right now so that he would not suffer more.

He had already given the answer, and he did not mind repeating it in public.

"It's a business team."

He grunted. "Someone in the business team from Qianyuan City sold it to me. I don't know the person. I'm not an evil disciple. I'm just curious …"

"A business team from Qianyuan City!"

Lei Lie ignored Qin Yi and pointed out the severity of the matter to the townspeople. "Qianyuan City is one of the biggest cities in the north. More than ten thousand merchants live in the city. The business teams are everywhere in the Fist God's World.

"I did not expect that even the business teams of Qianyuan City would be mixed with evil disciples who believe in the power of machines and steam. This is no small matter. It concerns the survival of all human beings in the Fist God's World. Look. The cracked sky is the best proof. It is the Fist God's warning to us!"
