Chapter 3385

Report

Nobody knew how to unlock the sealed crimson palace.

The surroundings were dark and silent. There were no hints or signs.

Holding Princess Summer's hand, Theresa spread out carefully with everybody else and explored the depths of the cave.

She found that the materials that made up the cave were neither gold nor wood. They were even warm and soft to the touch.

These materials left wrinkles in the cave, like solidified magma, giving rise to dark ripples.

Theresa had never seen such materials in the Pangu universe.

Wait a minute. She had once explored the Divine Palace with Li Yao. There was a kind of gray foam there that seemed to be similar to the materials that made up the cave.

Theresa's curiosity was piqued. Pondering for a moment, she extended a finger and poked at the wall of the cave.

As she expected, the wall of the cave was elastic like rubber. Her finger slowly poked into it.

Just as her finger sank into the wall of the cave, she suddenly felt a slight sting on her fingertip.

Theresa retracted her finger and looked at it. A drop of blood had seeped out of her fingertip. Some equipment hidden deep inside the cave had collected a drop of her blood.

Then, something unexpected happened.

With the hole that she had just poked as the center, as if driven by the blood, a series of feeble beeps were echoing from the depths of the cave. It was like the internal organs of a giant beast that had been sealed in the abyss for thousands of years had been awakened and began to operate and wriggle.

Colorful brilliance flowed out of the originally dim folds and blossomed in front of Theresa like the most brilliant flowers.

The materials that were neither gold nor wood but full of elasticity were like half-solidified and half-melted metals. They flowed slowly and condensed into all kinds of ever-changing forms.

The ripples and the streams of light formed flowers. Hundreds of optical fibers that looked like stamens drilled out of the hole that Theresa had poked at the center of the flowers. They trembled softly as if they were nerves that were alive and spread toward her.

Exclamations burst out one after another.

Theresa saw from the corner of her eyes that colorful flowers were blooming around the other explorers. The stamens of the flowers were like nerves that slowly enshrouded everybody.

"Liquid alloy, mustard seed machinery!"

Theresa's mind raced and she instantly understood.

The cave, or rather, the entire Crimson Palace, was made of extremely tiny intelligent machines that had reached the level of mustard seed. They were condensed into the form of liquid alloys.

Therefore, fixed crystal processors, teleportation arrays, weapons, and command systems were not required at all. Whatever equipment was needed, they could be assembled and manufactured by the mustard seed machines instantly according to the situation at the time.

This thought had just flashed through his mind.

The flower-like optical fiber pierced deeply into her brain.

Rivers of multicolored light flooded into Theresa's brain from the depths of the crimson palace.

Boom!

Theresa felt that her soul had gone through a great explosion that reversed time. Then, the world around her collapsed into billions of round drops of water, which were reassembled into a completely different picture in the middle of the changes of the stars.

This was a majestic palace.

Or rather, it was the bridge of a super enormous starship.

Countless handsome men and women who were more than two meters tall were nervously operating on the bridge.

Different from the mainframe crystal processors on the starships in the Pangu universe, there were barely any light beams or input/output devices on the bridge of this super enormous starship.

Those human beings more than two meters tall, who were almost perfect, were emitting colorful brilliance all over their bodies. The threads of light formed beautiful tattoos that covered every inch of their skin, as if they were nerves that could extend freely at will. They were inserted into the liquid metal around the bridge and transmitted neural information through the mustard seed machines, allowing the crew and the starship to be perfectly integrated.

Even Theresa herself had turned into a tall, fit, and tanned female warrior. Threads of light that could instantly exchange information were entangled on her exposed skin, too. Even her hair had turned into a translucent, glittering material that could be extended freely and inserted into the liquid metal to log on to the network of the entire super enormous starship for the exchange of tremendous data.

"This is …"

Theresa was so lost that she could barely tell who she was.

Thankfully, she had experienced a similar test in the "Divine Palace" before.

It seemed that the test technology of the Primeval Civilization was of the same origin. The so-called test of the Crimson Palace was to activate the genes and memories of their ancestors thousands of years ago that were hidden in the bodies of the devils so that they could experience the battles, exiles, and … destruction that their ancestors had faced.

However, she was not a devil. Why had the ancient memories that did not belong to her been awakened?

Right. It was the damn "Slime" Eric who ambushed her when she was still under the intense impact of the super long-distance jump when she had just transmigrated to the world of magic and was still weak. Then, he modified her beyond recognition with those despicable, shameless, and unbearable methods.

She remembered that "Slime" Eric had injected a lot of bizarre things into her body at that time. It should be that thing that gave her part of the bloodline of the devils, right?

Now was not the time to think about that.

Theresa focused her attention to adapt to her new role and new mission. She knew that the illusion, or memory, before her eyes must be related to the test of the Crimson Palace.

Sure enough, just as she figured out the situation, surging information flowed into her brain through the neural network.

The entire super-large battleship seemed to become transparent in front of her eyes in an instant. She could clearly see the situation in the surrounding cabins and a series of data related to her post. She even let her consciousness follow the starship's network and swim all the way to the outside of the starship. Through the billions of floating turrets that accompanied the starship, she could observe the super-large starship from all angles.

This starship should be the flagship of one of the fleets in exile of the Primeval Civilization.

Its scale far exceeded the size of an ordinary satellite. It was even comparable to a planet.

Compared to the so-called "planetary fortresses" that had appeared in the Pangu universe, which were simply made by hollowing out the planets, this starship seemed to have extracted the most precious materials from more than ten planets and refined them anew.

At first glance, it looked like an absolutely perfect rhombus-shaped crystal, but countless colorful rays of light were glittering on its surface. Those rays of light turned out to be a very special gravitational field. Other than controlling the floating turrets around, they could also plunder the asteroids, meteorites, and interstellar dust nearby and put them into the reactor of the starship, providing incessant fuel for the endless voyage in the vast universe.
