Although they had long known why Lei Chenghu had summoned them to this place, they still could not help but feel greatly shocked after hearing such a murderous order.

Lei Chenghu nodded heavily, his eyebrows as sharp as unsheathed sabers. "Rest assured, everybody. I will never fight a battle that I am not confident of winning, nor will I lead so many soldiers from the Sectors to be killed for nothing! The so-called 'Honor the Majesty and Settle the Rebellions' does not mean that the Council of Elders will be smashed, much less a full-scale civil war. It is merely a 'military remonstrance' with our blood and will so that the lords in the Council of Elders can hear our voice. Nothing more!
"We believe that most of the elders in the Council of Elders are still loyal to the Imperium and His Majesty. Those elders and His Majesty have all been fooled by a tiny group of scoundrels. Even the incident of the Blood Oath Alliance could be a scheme of those scoundrels.

Lei Chenghu finished his speech without giving any time for the warlords and the Sector Masters to question him. He stared at Dongfang Yuan and hinted for him to stand up.
Dongfang Yuan was already in a daze because of the dizziness. He stood up in a daze and was about to beg for mercy at Lei Chenghu, when a saber aura that looked like a crimson ribbon suddenly rose from Lei Chenghu's waist and darted toward his neck. Then, the whole world was swirling rapidly, as if a warship had exploded, and he was involved in a bloody swirl. Half a second later, he knew nothing anymore.
"Chi —"
Blood spurted almost ten meters into the sky like a waterfall and sprayed all over Lei Chenghu's body.
The spots of blood soon leaked into the black uniform and melted with it. Then, they were vaporized by the surging flames of spiritual energy, turning into a cluster of red mist that enshrouded Lei Chenghu's body and head.
The holographic projections of the warlords and the Sector Masters were pierced through by the blood. Feeble ripples were spreading out.
The headless corpse in the uniform of a lieutenant general of the Imperium's army staggered for a moment before it fell to the ground and began cramping crazily.
The holographic projections were lost for words as they looked at the broken body and the rolling head. They did not expect Lei Chenghu to be so brutal that he did not leave any room for retreat at all after he attacked.
"Shua!"
Lei Chenghu shook off the blood on the edge of his saber heavily and slowly put it back into the sheath. He said casually, "I've slain the devil as a sacrifice to the flag. It's your turn now.
"He's not the only Demonic Cultivator in the investigation fleet. I've locked all the other 'suspected Demonic Cultivators' in a target warship. The spiritual shield of the target warship has been removed, and a lot of crystals and ammunition have been refilled.
"Everybody, I'll send the coordinates of the target warship to your flagships right now. One minute later, please open fire at the target warship at the same time and eliminate the 'suspected Demonic Cultivators'!"
"Suspected Demonic Cultivators" was rather well-chosen.
A series of very precise coordinates were immediately sent to the flagships of every fleet. They were so close to each other that it was impossible for them to miss at all.
A brand-new light beam popped up above Lei Chenghu and Li Yao's head, too, which was the image of a ragged target warship shivering in the dark space.
The warlords and the Sector Masters looked at each other in bewilderment and saw the coldness in each other's eyes. They did not expect Lei Chenghu to be so ruthless.
Since the so-called "investigation fleet" was sent by the Council of Elders to dismember the Thunder Fleet and suppress the rest of the fleets in the Third Battle Area, it was naturally made of people from the four Kurfürst families. The commanders of all levels were the core forces of the four Kurfürst families and even the blood relatives of the big shots.
Who knew how many people Lei Chenghu had stuffed into the target warship? Who were they? Whose sons, grandsons, or true disciples they were?
After the bombardment, there was really no turning back for them. They could only grit their teeth and "reform" with Lei Chenghu to the end!
However, the Thunder Fleet was right next to them, and they were all loose sand with different concerns. It was possible that somebody would express their loyalty to Lei Chenghu and Special Envoy Li. If they lagged behind, they would be hesitating. Neither side would be benefited. Even if they did "reform" the Imperium, they would not be able to get much of the cake.
Lei Chenghu and Li Yao stared at them coldly again, not giving them any chance to discuss or think. Their flagships were connected to Iron Torrent, the flagship of the Third Battle Area. It was obvious whether or not they had opened fire and whether or not they had hit the target.
Lei Chenghu had also filled the target warship with crystal bombs. It meant that it would be useless to intentionally hit the unimportant parts that were thick-skinned. A serial explosion would still be raised, and all the captives on the starship would be killed. They would not be able to clear their names either!
One minute passed quickly.
"Everybody —"
Lei Chenghu bulged his eyes. "What are you waiting for? Let's do it!"
The warlords and the Sector Masters gritted their teeth hard. Some of their eyeballs were almost squeezed out by wrinkles. They made up their minds at the same time.
Mystic rays, bullets of spiritual energy that contained highly-explosive crystals, and super alloy bullets that were pushed out by the crystal rails flew at the target warship from various directions.
