Coloured Glaze, however, hesitated for a moment and asked timidly, "Grandpa Yao, can I ask you one last question? What exactly is a 'real Cultivator'? "
Li Yao was slightly dazed. Blushing slightly, he said, "This is rather awkward. I really don't know how to answer your question.
"If it were a hundred years ago, when I just became a Cultivator, and somebody asked me the question, I would've told him without any hesitation that Cultivation meant brotherhood, slaying evil, helping the weak, and even defending the country. Cultivation meant doing what was right and what was wrong. Cultivation meant surpassing the limits of life, exploring the mysteries that no one had ever reached before, and finding a new direction for the future of the civilization of mankind.
"But the more I trained myself, the higher my level was, and the more people and things I got in touch with, the more confused I was about the real definition of 'Cultivator'. Han Te and Coloured Glaze nodded their heads hard with tears in their eyes.
Coloured Glaze thought for a moment and took out the seed jar that was as important as her life from her waist. She took out a handful of Gold Barley seeds and handed them to Li Yao solemnly.
"Grandpa Yao, I've thought about it."
The girl said solemnly, "In the past, I always wanted to fulfill my mother's last wish and plant the Gold Barley all over the Land of Sins so that everybody would have food to eat and a good life. Then, there would be no more wars.
"But if the universe is always so dark and cold, even if the Gold Barley is planted all over the Land of Sins, it will wither and perish before long, won't it?
"If the entire sea of stars is scourged by war, how can the Land of Sins, or the Martial Meritocrats Sector, be left alone?
"Therefore, my dream has been upgraded, too. I'm going to plant the Gold Barley all over the sea of stars, the entire universe, and the three thousand Sectors!
"Grandpa Yao, can you help me spray the Gold Barley seeds into the sea of stars so that they can take root and spread to the entire universe?"
Li Yao took over the Gold Barley seeds carefully. Looking at the girl's eyes that were as clear as water and as hard as jade, he nodded heavily.
