Chapter 1141

Report

On the other side of the Thunderous Sound Mountain in the Dark Desolate Domain, Burning Prairie was struggling in the thunderstorm.

The clouds and the lightning were not scary, but the swirls of spiritual energy and the space gaps that appeared now and then among them were like fatal reefs in a shallow ocean. Burning Prairie had to avoid them carefully. It would be the most dreadful disaster if part of the warship was teleported to another world when it accidentally hit a space gap.

Drowned in the endless night, even Burning Prairie, which was dozens of kilometers long, was like a boat in the middle of a surging ocean. It did not seem to be able to control itself. Every now and then, it would brush against the peaks of the mountains, and dazzling brilliance was popping up when the lightning hit its spiritual shield.

It was partly because the crew members were inexperienced, partly because of their lack of cooperation, and partly because the mainframe crystal processor had barely been assembled and was not stable yet.

But more importantly, Burning Prairie was not a near-earth warship that had been refined for the high-gravity environment in the atmosphere in the first place.

In the Flying Star Sector, except for Iron Plateau and Spider Den, everybody lived in starships and world fragments. Heavenly Saints City, the largest city in the Flying Star Sector, was also a space city made of countless star fortresses.

Gravity was naturally unnecessary in the universe. The only thing that should be considered was how to generate stable gravity inside the warship, not how to resist the external gravity.

Burning Prairie had been produced in space. It was a typical warship that was adapted to the zero-gravity, high-radiation environment.

The enormous gravity of the Heaven's Origin Sector and the complicated environment such as the Dark Desolate Domain were things that Burning Prairie had never encountered before.

However, considering that the resource planets would be developed on a large scale during the resistance against the Imperium of True Human Beings, and that many battles would likely take place in the orbit of the major planets, which would be affected by gravity and weather, as the first-generation flagship of the Burning Prairie Fleet, Burning Prairie naturally had to make up for the shortcoming and train the crew members to fight in the high-gravity environment as soon as possible.

That was why the Flying Star Sector had sent Burning Prairie to the Tian Yuan Realm for real-life training in such a complicated environment as the Dark Desolate Domain.

The crew members of Burning Prairie were not used to such training at all. The warship that was as enormous as a mountain was bumping up and down in the thunderstorm.

But it was a different scene inside the warship.

As a super warship that spanned across the sea of stars, many crew members had to spend most of their lives on the warship. They even had to consider getting married and having children on the starship.

The Flying Star Sector had even considered building more super-enormous starships that were a mixture of 'life' and 'battle' with Burning Prairie as the first-generation sample.

Those starships were not just meant to resist the Imperium of True Human Beings.

More importantly, once the resistance failed and the Imperium of True Human Beings completely occupied or even destroyed the Flying Star Sector, the Heaven's Origin Sector, and the Blood Demon Sector, the super enormous starships would be able to carry as many people as possible and escape to the depths of the universe, establishing another 'starship civilization', a large, mobile 'Flying Star Sector'.

Everybody was saving the future in their own way based on their own experience. The space residents had always been a civilization of starships. It was not strange that they had come up with such a backup plan.

Therefore, in the middle and rear of Burning Prairie, there was an enormous living area. Schools, hospitals, restaurants, restaurants, and all kinds of entertainment facilities were available. It was almost a small but well-equipped town.

Other than the crew members and the student soldiers of the 'Burning Prairie Fleet', five thousand ordinary people had boarded Burning Prairie to the Tian Yuan Realm. They were made of the family members of the crew members, volunteers, and sociologists.

If possible, more natives of the Heaven's Origin Sector would be invited to live on Burning Prairie in the future for the social experiment of 'starship escape' and to create a comfortable living environment.

After they arrived at the Tian Yuan Realm, many local entertainment facilities had been moved to Burning Prairie. All kinds of bizarre things had never been seen before by the space residents. Therefore, the crew members and the student soldiers who were on vacation all liked to relax in the living area after work.

Despite the storm outside, the living area was still peaceful under the control of the super-stable rune arrays and was not greatly affected.

Inside the living area, deep inside a shabby alley that was full of tubes and steam, more than ten young people were shouting passionately, which seemed even more furious than the thunder outside.

"Six! Six! Six! Six! "

In midair, a translucent bubble was floating, in which twenty dice of spiritual energy were floating. Ten of them were black, and ten of them were white. They were rolling and crashing into each other. Now and then, some of the dice would be knocked away brutally.

Of the two young men in the uniform of the student soldiers, one was tall and brawny, with arms as thick as thighs and waists. His face was full of muscles, and he was brimming with killing intent.

The other one, on the other hand, was as thin as a stick. His hair was dry and yellow, and his eyes were swollen. He seemed to be malnourished and looked like a mouse that had lost its hair.

The big one and the small one, like a titan and a demon, both bulged their eyes and stared at the crystal bubble. They were rubbing their temples and making hand gestures quickly.

The dice inside the crystal bubble seemed to be controlled by their telepathic thoughts and were attacking each other like twenty soldiers.

"Let go!"

The burly young man roared, and a few more white dice were sent flying. The crystal bubble burst with a loud bang, and the rest of the dice fell into a stainless steel tray below with tinkling sounds.

The student soldiers craned their heads and saw clearly that there were still eight black dice that belonged to the muscular young man, while there were only three white dice that belonged to the skinny young man who looked like a mouse. In terms of numbers, the muscular young man had five sixes, which were higher than the skinny young man's!

"Hahahaha!"

The muscular young man burst into laughter. He rubbed the skinny young man's head with his large hand and said, "Where did this brat come from? You talk big, but your skills in 'Ten Square Victory' are so lousy! You've lost three rounds in a row! Come on. Do you have any money left? Do you want to make a comeback? "

'Ten Square Victory 'was a very popular gambling game among the space pirates of Spider Den in the Flying Star Sector in the first place.

The two parties would each manipulate ten special dice of spiritual energy. They could send their telepathic thoughts into the dice and attack each other in midair. Those who hit the crystal bubble would be considered 'killed'. When the time was up, the crystal bubble would break, and the dice would fall to the ground. The outcome of the game would be decided by the number of the remaining dice.

It was a game that tested one's skills rather than luck. For the newcomers who had just touched spiritual energy and telepathic thoughts, it was also a good training. Therefore, the game was very popular on Spider Den.

However, Burning Prairie was a place where the future stars of the Flying Star Sector were raised. Such a popular gambling game among space pirates was certainly not allowed.

There was no telling who had brought the gambling game to Burning Prairie. In only half a year, it had spread out like wildfire and could not be stopped.

Even the boy scouts of the Burning Prairie Fleet, as well as the descendants of the noble families and the top geniuses in training, could not resist the temptation and often went to the living area for gambling games during their vacation!

The muscular young man's name was Black Star. He had advanced into the fourth level of the Refinement Stage at a young age. With his family's secret arts and special skills in manipulating objects with spiritual energy, he had become a super expert of 'Ten Square Victory' after only several months. His companions were all scared, and nobody dared to compete with him anymore.

He was itching for a fight and often went to the living area to compete with the boy scouts whom he was not familiar with. After all, there were tens of thousands of boy scouts on Burning Prairie, who were distributed in different areas. It was impossible for him to know all of them.

In order to lure them in, he often pretended that he had more brawn than brains and pretended to be a pig.

As a matter of fact, he had caught another silly boy today.

Black Star played hard to get and let the boy win two rounds first. Then, he raised the stakes and slashed the boy three times until his eyes turned red!

His companions naturally knew how tough he was. However, under the intimidation of his iron fists, they pretended that they did not know anything.

"What a bad luck!"

"Let's have another round! I don't believe that the silly boy can win every round so smoothly! "

"I don't think the silly boy is going to make it. His spiritual energy is running dry!"

"We, the Burning Prairie Fleet, would rather die than surrender. We can't admit defeat just like that!"

Under the heckling of everybody, the skinny young man hesitated, too. However, his pockets were empty, and he could only touch a glittering pendant on his neck, unwilling to give it up.

Black Star was born in a noble family of Cultivators. He had seen through the value of the pendant a long time ago, or he would not have bothered to gamble with such a cowardly boy. Seeing that the boy was hooked, he intentionally laughed and said, "Brat, get the hell out of here if you don't have money. Do you want to gamble with the garbage on your neck?"

Greatly humiliated, the skinny young man shuddered in fury and shrieked, "What garbage? My grandpa left this for me. It's Purple Crystal Sand! Half a stone is worth all the money in front of you! "

"It's actually Purple Crystal Gravel?"

Pretending to be greatly surprised, Black Star observed it carefully. Then, he sneered and said, "Alright. Do you want to gamble or not?"

"No!"

The skinny young man shook his head quickly. "Don't think that I'm an idiot who doesn't know the value of Purple Crystal Sand. As I said, all the money in front of you is not worth half a stone!"

Black Star rolled his eyes and pretended to be humiliated, too. He slapped a dagger from his waist brutally and said, "Brat, don't underestimate me! This is my ancestral 'Silver Blood Dagger'. Together with the money, it should be worth your Purple Crystal Sand pendant, right? Come on. If you are a man, just say it. Do you want to gamble or not? "

The skinny young man did not expect that he would take out a ancestral dagger. He did not want to gamble, but he was provoked and did not know what to do. His ugly face blushed.

The student soldiers nearby began to heckle again. Of course, they were not scared of the drama!

Under the heckling of everybody, the skinny young man was caught in a dilemma and almost burst into tears.

Black Star chuckled. Tossing the dice, he said, "How about this? I've seen through it. My level is slightly higher than yours. If we gamble like this, I'll be bullying you! How about I use eight dice, and you use ten. If I win, I'll take the Purple Crystal Sand pendant, and if you win, you'll take the 'Silver Blood Dagger' and all the money. What do you think? "

The skinny young man looked at him, at the Silver Blood Dagger, and then at the student soldiers who were cheering him on. With greed beaming out of his eyes, he gnashed his teeth and nodded!

"Great. Straightforward enough. You're a real man!"

The student soldiers nearby all cheered.

A new round of gambling, Black Star versus the skinny young man, eight black dice versus ten white dice, began!

Eighteen dice slowly floated up in the crystal bubble. Both parties held their breath, as if they were faced with a great enemy. Sweat was flowing out of their foreheads nonstop. It was obvious that they could not have been more anxious!

The skinny young man's legs were shaking, and his teeth were clattering. He seemed to have been defeated before the battle even started.

Just at the moment of life and death

"Mouse Bai!"

Tens of ferocious roars came from a distance away. A large group of student apprentices, who were filled with killing intent, rushed over.

The skinny youth's complexion changed and he sneezed. Inside the crystal bubble, there was a burst of light. The ten black dice were actually shattered by the eight white dice!

Black Star was dumbfounded!

All the student soldiers nearby were dumbfounded!

The skinny young man, on the other hand, crawled under Black Star's pants as fast as lightning and snatched all the money, crystals, and Silver Blood Dagger in front of and behind Black Star. Then, he dashed to the midair and entered the tubes of spiritual energy.

"Thanks, brother. You've lost the bet. You are truly a real man!"

He grinned at Black Star and disappeared into the tubes.

At this moment, dozens of roaring student soldiers finally caught up with them.

"Did you bet with him on 'Ten Square Victory'?"

Seeing that Black Star and the rest of them were dumbfounded, the student soldiers immediately asked.

Black Star nodded in a daze. "Why — why?"

The student soldiers all looked at him as if he were asking for death. "Are you out of your mind? You were bold enough to play 'Ten Square Victory' with Mouse Bai? He was the one who transmitted the game to Burning Prairie! "

Black Star: "Ah!"

"There's more!"
