Recently, Erhai Lake was in the process of cleaning up the sewage. Therefore, all the nearby guest houses and inns were ordered to suspend their business. Naturally, this caused complaints from the guest houses and inns. However, after complaining and cursing, they could also give themselves a small holiday. Naturally, they would get some rest time.
For people in the service industry, the more common a holiday was, the busier they were. When earning money and working had become a habit, sometimes it would feel guilty to stop and relieve pressure. Therefore, they gritted their teeth and continued to work. The tenacity of the Chinese could be clearly reflected in this point.
Moreover, most of the hostels and inns by Erhai Lake were small. Therefore, basically, the owners and mistresses of the hostels and hostels treated themselves as small workers. Hostels and hostels were supported by word of mouth. Sometimes, doing things by oneself was indeed more reassuring than hiring someone to do it.
This morning, the mistress of the inn was sitting on a rattan chair in the courtyard. She was reading a magazine and drinking tea. Her husband, who was the owner of the inn, took the opportunity to go back to his hometown. The servants employed by the inn were also on holiday during this period, so the mistress could relax.
However, although the inn was closed, it was not that there were no customers. At this moment, two monks walked down from a room on the second floor. One was wearing an orthodox monk's robe from the Central Plains, and the other was wearing a Lama's robe. Putting aside the way they spoke, just the appearance of these two monks was enough to make people think that they were eminent monks. Naturally, they deserved the treatment of monks here.
The Lady Boss didn't charge them for the room and simply let them stay. Even if the higher-ups came to check and found that she had guests, they wouldn't pursue the matter too much if they saw that it was just two monks. It was understandable for them to borrow good karma on a daily basis.
The monk and Lord Zeng thanked the mistress and left. On the bed in the room, the monk left enough money for the room. Every drink and every peck had its own cause and effect. Moreover, the monk was not a monk who needed to beg for alms.
The two strolled slowly by Erhai Lake, chatting about Buddhist scriptures while enjoying the beautiful scenery. This was what they often did when they lived in the Fang's house. Therefore, during the period when Su Bai left Fatso, they did not feel bored even if it was only the two of them living in the house.
Fatso did not stay with them. It was not because it was inconvenient for Fatso to stay in an inn that was closed, but he deliberately went to Dali City to have some fun. Fatso never denied his hobby, nor did he try to hide it.
After chatting for a while, Lord Zeng stopped by Erhai Lake and changed the topic, "That formation, do you really have no way to break it?"
That was true. The woman's act of finding the formation and opening it to enter was seen by Lord Zeng and the monk from afar. The Land of Dao Verification was actually equivalent to "Fortress Besieged". The people inside wanted to go out, and the people outside wanted to come in.
Lord Zeng did not hide his yearning for the Land of Dao Verification. After all, there were tombstones left behind by past Dao Verification practitioners. That was the most coveted wealth. Even an outsider like him could not avoid it.
"This is fate and also luck. In fact, the Poor Monk felt that Da Bai did not want to stay in that place. The ground was full of tombstones and the underworld was desolate. To put it nicely, it was called a guardian, but to put it bluntly, it was actually a gravekeeper.
As for the formation, the Poor Monk and Fatso had no way to solve it for the time being. In fact, because Fatso had been exposed to and practiced too many things, his attainments in formation could be considered excellent. However, formation was not his main area of expertise. Otherwise, with the help of the advanced Poor Monk, the two of them should have a thirty to forty percent chance of success. "
"But you're still waiting." Gyatso smiled. Others might not know, but as a monk, how could he not know his old friend's plan? Qilü's ambition was too big. He was not willing to advance only with his soul or body, which would lead to the advancement of the other. He was waiting for an opportunity, waiting for the opportunity for his body and soul to advance at the same time.
As the saying goes, comparing yourself to others will only make you angry. When other people were stuck at the peak of the veteran level, they would try their best to rely on opportunities to be able to advance to the Advanced Listener level, but the Seven Laws were planning slowly and unhurriedly, as if they had obsessive-compulsive disorder. If they didn't achieve 100%, they would feel dissatisfied.
"Are there any monks you know in Yunnan?" asked Gyatso.
"Yes." The monk nodded. "But I came here once half a year ago and met and talked about the old days. This time, there is no need to keep in touch."
"The scenery here is good. It's not bad to stay with Da Bai for a while. It's a pity that we can't go in. Otherwise, we could bring some consolation to Da Bai." At this point, Gyatso could not help but smile. "He's probably bored inside."
However, at this moment, the smile at the corner of Gyatso's mouth slowly froze. A layer of strange ripples appeared on the surface of the water in front of him. The ripples were pushed out in an orderly manner with a point as the center. The order was too deliberate, as if it was meticulously sculpted.
Perhaps ordinary people would not notice it, but how could Lord Zeng, who had advanced to the Senior Listener, not notice it?
Lord Zeng immediately stretched out his hand and motioned for the monk to step back. If it was a crisis of the Senior Listener level, the monk was indeed not equipped to deal with and participate in it.
The monk did not try to be brave. He obediently stepped back a lot.
While the monk was stepping back, a woman's face suddenly appeared on the clear surface of Erhai Lake.
The woman's face was very delicate. Her skin was yellowish and dark. When the woman came out of the water, her hair was wet and draped over her shoulders. She looked like a lotus flower emerging from the water. However, the strange luster on the woman's face, which looked like it had been waxed, unfortunately ruined the atmosphere.
When her face emerged from the water, the woman's eyes slowly opened.
Everything was white.
There was no trace of black!
In an instant, it was as if the clouds in the sky were pressing down at this moment. The surrounding airflow also formed a terrifying vortex in an instant. This was the aura of the woman's appearance, with a kind of sonorous clang!
When the woman's entire body floated out of the water and stood barefoot on the surface of the water, both Tyrant and Gyatso revealed a hint of surprise on their faces.
"Bodhisattva …"
"Bodhisattva …"
As a monk who worshiped Buddha, although Lord Zeng and Gyatso's orthodoxy were different, it was undeniable that they were all from the same lineage. Moreover, both of them had a wide range of knowledge and were very familiar with Buddhism in various countries and regions. India was naturally one of them.
The woman's appearance, clothing, and aura when she appeared were clearly the manifestation of the arrival of Bodhisattva. Many female Bodhisattvas in temples in India looked exactly like her. Of course, many female Bodhisattvas in temples in China had actually changed their images according to the aesthetic standards of the Chinese.
In other words, this was a female Bodhisattva. Of course, it could also be said that she was a Listener who had cultivated herself into a female Bodhisattva!
"I want him!"
The woman pointed at the monk behind Gyatso and directly stated her intention. The lama standing between her and her target made the woman feel a sense of dread.
"You are not a Listener here."
Lord Zeng did not answer the woman's request for the monk because there was no need for an answer. Naturally, Lord Zeng would not give the monk away to the woman. Moreover, Lord Zeng was not asking if the woman was a Listener from Yunnan, but if she was a Listener from China.
The woman smiled and did not answer Lord Zeng's question.
Then,
She raised her hand.
Then,
The woman's benevolent face instantly turned into a ferocious demon. All the light around her was sucked in at this moment, as if a huge black hole was devouring everything here.
"Playing tricks!"
Lord Zeng immediately shouted. He raised his hand and a hatchet appeared in his hand. He directly chopped down.
With a whoosh, a hole was cut open in the surrounding darkness, allowing light from the outside to enter again. However, the darkness was like ink that once again seeped back into the hole that had been cut open.
A white hand reached out from the darkness and appeared behind the monk.
At this moment, a Buddhist mark appeared between the brows of the monk, who had not planned to join the battle.
Lord Zeng, who had tried to chop open the darkness to no avail, appeared beside the monk. He grabbed the woman's hand with one hand and scolded the monk at the same time,
"Don't you trust me, Qilü? I can protect you. There's no need for you to advance at this time. Besides, Fatso is in the city. I don't believe that he would dare not get off the woman and rush over here after sensing the energy fluctuations here."
Hearing this, the mark on the monk's brows slowly faded. He then smiled bitterly and said,
"I'm just a little embarrassed to suddenly become a burden."
Lord Zeng's hand and the woman's hand were entangled. At the same time, countless white hands appeared from the darkness. Most of them grabbed at Lord Zeng, but a small number of them continued to attack the monk.
In the face of these troublesome hands, Lord Zeng did not chop them one by one with the hatchet. In an instant, the Buddhist aura on his body disappeared. Then, filth, disaster, madness, and other demonic auras rose from his body.
With Lord Zeng as the center, a layer of gray that symbolized the disaster began to actively infect the surrounding darkness. The white hands that stretched out from the darkness began to rot and wither after being infected by the gray. Then, they began to turn into dry bones and fell to the ground.
Lord Zeng took this opportunity to let out a shrill howl. The hatchet in his hand combined with the demon body that was enhanced by the Qin soldier's body and forcefully pushed forward.
"Pa …"
The surrounding darkness finally broke at this moment.
The female Bodhisattva was still standing on the water, but there was a clear wound on the ring finger of her left hand.
