After entering secluded meditation to bind the Nine Flames Divine Furnace, Zhou Tong was able to vaguely discern his path forward. Soon, he emerged from the Immortal estate and continued to advance.
The Ten Thousand Mountains were a mountain range that was filled with mountains and peaks.
Zhou Tong explored this place by himself. During this period of time, he had discovered three treasure troves.
However, since he couldn't use raw power to break through the barriers, he was only able to break through the barriers of the Dao of Pure Yang and the Dao of Destruction. He was able to acquire two legacies that would allow him to reach the World level, but he was unable to break through the barriers of the Dao of Water.
By the time Zhou Tong passed through the final mountain, the area up ahead was filled with mist, making it extremely difficult to see. Even Zhou Tong, with his incredible eyesight, was only able to see a thousand kilometers or so in this region of mist.
It must be understood that birds had incredible eyesight, especially phoenixes like Zhou Tong. If even he could only see a thousand kilometers, other World Gods would probably only be able to see a hundred kilometers.
A hundred kilometers was a distance that was negligible even for someone like Zu Shen, to say nothing of a World-level cultivator.
This was the central region of the Allgod Estate, the Fog Sea.
"The Fog Sea of the Allgod Estate. The treasures here are clearly on a much higher level than the treasures in the Ten Thousand Mountains." Zhou Tong reviewed the information he had acquired from Waveshift City.
The treasures within the Ten Thousand Mountains were extremely important to cultivators below the World-level. Any random treasure they found within the Ten Thousand Mountains could be used as a trump card. To World-level cultivators, however, aside from a few fairly monstrous treasures, the rest of the treasures were rather weak.
Of the four treasures Zhou Tong had acquired in the Ten Thousand Mountains, only the Nine Flames Divine Furnace was of great use to World-level cultivators. The other divine abilities and secret arts were far inferior and could only be used to broaden one's horizons.
However, the treasures within the Ten Thousand Mountains were truly extraordinary. The treasures here were of tremendous use to World-level cultivators. In fact, they could allow World-level cultivators to build up a powerful foundation that would allow them to deal with future Samsara Daolords.
The most famous thing about the Fog Sea was that it was hard to tell directions. Even a World God would be unable to tell which direction they were going after just a few rounds within the Fog Sea. Even the Allgod Estate, which had always been like a lighthouse, was now a blur in the sea of fog.
But of course, none of this was fatal. Generally speaking, World-level cultivators would only need to wander about aimlessly for a period of time before eventually emerging from the Fog Sea.
However, walking out of the sea of fog also meant that he had no fate with the treasure. If one truly wanted to obtain the core treasure, one would have to have the courage of "knowing that there are tigers in the mountain, but still going to the tiger's mountain".
"The main reason why it's so hard to tell directions in the Fog Sea is because this place is simply too dangerous. Countless World-level cultivators are trying to avoid danger, which is why they are running around like headless flies. If you walk in a straight line, however, you'll be able to destroy everything in your path. This so-called 'hard to tell directions' is nothing more than a joke!" Zhou Tong resolutely entered the Fog Sea.
He walked in a straight line in the sea of fog alone. After walking for tens of thousands of miles, he finally saw a lake that was as tranquil as a mirror. This lake was jade-green in color, and it was so quiet that not a single ripple could be seen.
Generally speaking, when World Gods saw a lake like this, their first reaction would be to avoid it. However, Zhou Tong didn't feel any fear at all. He walked on the surface of the water, continuing to walk in a straight line.
After walking for tens of thousands of kilometers …
"Eh?!"
Suddenly, Zhou Tong's face tightened slightly. His entire body exploded with fiery light, and he moved like an illusion as he instantly flew into the air. This explosion of power was so fast that Zhou Tong appeared off in the distance. Only then did the fiery light on his body explode. This instantaneous burst of power caused his speed to almost double the limit of the Heavenly Dao.
As soon as his fiery light appeared, an enormous, savage-looking maw appeared from beneath the lake. It bit down towards the position Zhou Tong had just been in.
Zhou Tong swept the area with his gaze. What had appeared in the water was a jade-green monster that seemed to merge perfectly with the jade-green waters of the lake. It had the mouth of a shark, but it also had three sharp horns on its head.
"You're courting death!"
Zhou Tong shouted softly. His entire body dropped down instantly. The speed of his descent was so fast that it wasn't any slower than the speed of his previous explosion of power. His foot landed heavily on the monster's head like an axe.
"Boom!"
With a loud bang, Zhou Tong's foot landed on the monster's head. An extremely terrifying power erupted like a volcanic eruption. Together with the divine power of fire, an astonishing power was injected into the monster's body.
"Roar!"
The monster only let out a terrifying roar before it floated on the surface of the water with its charred body. Its body had been completely roasted by Zhou Tong's attack. Its body and divine soul had been baptized by the flames, and its soul had been destroyed.
"This monster barely has the strength of a perfected World God!" Zhou Tong thought to himself.
At this moment, a ball of light suddenly emerged from the charred monster's body. With a thought, Zhou Tong immediately kept the ball of light in his palm.
Crunch! The ball of light dissipated, and soon a painting appeared in Zhou Tong's hands.
"This painting …" Zhou Tong stared at the painting, his eyes shining brightly.
This was a painting of a hundred rivers converging into the sea. Every single river and mountain contained a unique Dao Concept within it. This was a Dao which far surpassed that of a World-level cultivator. This was a Dao which had been left behind by at least a Daolord.
A long time later, Zhou Tong's eyes dimmed. He shook his head. "Unfortunately, this is the Dao of Water. It is the exact opposite of my own Dao."
"However … if every single danger zone has a treasure like this, I'll eventually encounter something which will benefit me greatly." He casually put away the painting, then continued to advance.
Aside from the monsters which were everywhere, there were also many bugbeasts within the Fog Sea. These bugbeasts had all been nurtured by Daolord Allgod when he was alive. In fact, after his death, many of the traps which he had set up during his life were still in operation, and they were still nurturing all sorts of bugbeasts. These bugbeasts were the most dangerous creatures within the Fog Sea.
But of course, aside from the bugbeasts, there were many other dangerous creatures within the Fog Sea as well, such as the other World-level cultivators who had come here to search for treasures. These cultivators were one of the dangers of the Fog Sea.
However, in the face of absolute power, all dangers were nothing more than jokes. Zhou Tong continued to advance, slaying all who stood in his way. Nothing within the Fog Sea was a match for him.
During this period of time, he passed through large lakes, swamps, palaces, stone forests, and many other dangerous places. He continued to advance in a straight line, acquiring many treasures, divine abilities, and secret arts which strengthened his foundation.
Three years after he entered the Fog Sea, he finally walked out of this region and arrived at the true core of the ruins — the Allgod Estate.
