Emotional resonance was a very peculiar feeling. Just a short sentence made all of the customers feel like their days of waiting were worth it. The feeling of being valued more than the king made everyone feel a sense of bliss.
Given the same choice, no one dared to say that they could do what Meg had done.
Soon, some of the people who had received news from Rodu began to narrate the events that had transpired during the palace banquet. The competition was supposed to be a simple one, but Mag had triumphed over countless chefs' corpses to secure the best dish of the palace banquet.
There was also a version where Meg seduced the king with his body, forcing the female servants to serve his dish to the king. The king was very fond of the dish after tasting it, and as such, received the best dish award.
Mr. Mak really wanted to punch someone in the face after hearing this version.
The royal banquet in Rodu had become the hottest topic of the morning for all of the customers, and they knew that most of these versions weren't very reliable. However, Meg was the only chef from Chaos City who had traveled to Rodu to win the best dish award, and that was already a legend in itself.
After all, there was no other occasion on the entire continent where so many renowned chefs had gathered.
After breakfast, Meg pushed his bicycle out with the breakfast he had brought for Crassus in the basket. He greeted all of the customers with a smile on his face. He wasn't used to such a harmonious atmosphere in the morning.
Amy climbed onto the backseat of the bicycle, and asked, "Do you guys think tofu pudding should be salty or sweet for breakfast?"
"Of course it should be sweet! Salty tofu pudding is heretical! "
"Bullsh * t! Salty tofu pudding is the best of all tofu puddings! "
Meg shook his head with a resigned expression. He glared at the pedals, and carried the giggling Amy to class.
When he returned to the restaurant, the sweet and savory factions were still arguing over whether the tofu pudding should be eaten sweet or savory. There were quite a few detailed arguments being made, and Mag felt as if their debating skills had improved significantly. In fact, they were even better than the mathematicians in Rodu.
The restaurant opened for business, and the customers filed in and began to order. Perhaps it was because they hadn't eaten delicious food for a few days, so many people ordered one or two more dishes than usual, increasing the amount of food they ordered.
After all, this was the first meal after his return, and Mag didn't want to see customers lining up for breakfast. Hence, he went all out, and breakfast was brought out from the kitchen and served to the customers' tables. His efficiency was very high.
The customers also spontaneously took care of the customers behind them. After the meal, they immediately paid the bill and left, not occupying the table for a long time.
After the morning opening hours, Meg rotated his sore wrist and let out a long sigh of relief. Even with his current physical fitness, preparing breakfast for 300 people in an hour and a half was not an easy task.
However, looking at the happy smiles on the faces of the guests, he felt very satisfied.
Meg took off his apron and walked out of the kitchen with a glass of water. Sally and Yabemiya were cleaning the dining room.
"Ling ling."
A knock sounded on the door, and Meg made his way over to open the door with a glass of water.
Gloria was standing outside the door, wearing a long blue dress. Her slightly wavy blond hair was still draped over her back. She smiled at Meg, and said, "Mr. Meg, may I have some of your time?"
"Of course, the restaurant is being cleaned right now. Please take a seat, Ms. Gloria." Meg was slightly surprised to see that it was Gloria, but he still smiled as he led Gloria to an outdoor table.
Gloria sat down, and looked at Meg with reverence in her eyes. "I heard that Mr. Meg won the best dish award at the royal banquet. Congratulations."
"Thank you." Meg nodded with a smile, and asked, "Are the dresses and other accessories ready?"
Meg had heard about the competition between Gloria and Cyril from her. Meg wasn't very fond of the second son of Family Moreton after the incident at Ricky's Rotisserie, so he was naturally more willing to let Gloria win the competition.
The Moreton Family was a colossus. At the very least, that was the case for the current Mag.
In order to deal with such a colossus, he had to deal with it from the inside.
As for the purpose of Gloria's visit, it didn't take long for him to figure it out. This young mistress wouldn't come to him so early in the morning to talk about her life goals.
Gloria nodded with a hint of pride on her face as she replied, "That's right. Due to the increase in the number of tailors and the increase in proficiency, all of the sets have been completed. The dresses will be delivered to the customers one by one after three inspections, and the other two dresses will also be officially released tomorrow."
"Very good. As long as quality is guaranteed, increasing production efficiency is one of the ways to increase profits." Meg nodded with approval as he said, "If the Suede textiles shop is too small, perhaps we can find a place to set up a production factory. If the customers are greeted by a busy tailoring scene after entering the shop, it'll detract from their shopping experience, and they'll lose some room for imagination. "
Gloria pondered this for a moment before an enlightened look appeared on her face. She nodded, and said, "I understand. I'll get all of the tailors and tools out of the shop today and arrange a more suitable space for them to work in."
"It's already late autumn in the blink of an eye, so these dresses won't be worn for much longer. I drew two designs during my spare time in Rodu a few days ago; I'll go get them for you, Young Mistress Gloria. Constantly releasing new products is an important prerequisite for a women's clothing shop to remain the number one priority in women's hearts," Meg said as he rose to his feet and made his way into the restaurant.
"Did you draw two designs in your spare time?" Gloria's mouth gaped open slightly as she looked at Meg's departing figure with an expression of reverence in her eyes. Beautiful dresses, fresh and adorable dresses; the designs for the three dresses had already stunned her to the core. Even the most experienced tailor wouldn't be able to create such beautiful dresses, yet Meg was telling her that he had designed two more dresses during his spare time in Rodu; that was simply astonishing.
Gloria didn't even need to look at the designs to know that Meg was going to come up with designs that would amaze her. Even she was a little surprised by her own confidence.
Meg made his way out of the restaurant with two pieces of paper and a glass of water in his hands. He placed the glass of water aside before handing the two pieces of paper to Gloria with a smile as he said, "These are some random doodles; I wonder if you'll like them."
"Host … those were designed by the system!!!"
