"Where's Young Mistress?"
In the city lord's castle, in a room that was mainly decorated in pink, Michael glanced at the long pillow under the blanket, and then at the two young maids with their heads hung low with a slightly angry expression.
"Young Mistress … Young Mistress said that she wasn't feeling well in the evening and wanted to sleep, so we helped her to sleep, and then … and then this is what you see now, Master. We don't know where Young Mistress went," the maid on the left said softly with a slightly fearful expression. The maid on the left said softly, looking a little scared. Although the young miss always ran out like this, and the old master would not blame them for everything in the end, standing in front of the angry city lord, there were not many people who could remain calm.
"Perhaps Young Mistress went out to eat like before, and she should be back soon." The young maid on the side added. She had a closer relationship with Young Mistress, so she knew that Young Mistress was going to sneak out to eat today. However, she didn't expect that the master, who had said that he wouldn't be home for dinner tonight, would suddenly come back early, and even asked her to eat with Madam, which led to the current situation.
"You can leave first, I'll wait here for her to come back." The anger on Michael's face faded, and he waved his hand at the two of them. There was a hint of helplessness in his eyes. It wasn't like he didn't know his daughter's temper. She didn't even listen to him, so what could the two young maids do to her?
"Yes." The two young maids hurriedly turned and left the room, carefully closing the door behind them.
This child must be craving for food again. She's taken too much medicine during these past few years, and there are too many things that she can't eat … Where can I find medicine that can cure her? Michael sighed in the darkening room, and the wrinkles at the corners of his eyes were particularly pronounced. This city lord of Chaos City, who was extremely powerful in the eyes of others, appeared to be a little weary and frail.
…
"Boss is so nice." Yabemiya looked at Mag's departing figure, and a warm feeling welled up in her heart. It was as if as long as she stood behind Mag, all questions about her identity would no longer be able to harm her. It was as if she were standing behind Mag, shielding her from the elements.
Sally took a glance at Yabemiya before making her way toward the kitchen with her plate in her hand. This was most likely why she was gradually getting used to this place. She didn't have to worry about scheming against others, and she didn't have to worry about being stabbed in the back. All she had to do was take care of her own business.
"He's just going to leave us hanging?" Tonis looked on as Mag walked into the kitchen. He had thought that Mag would at least arrange for them to take a seat first, but it appeared that he wasn't planning to do that. Instead, he was making them line up like normal customers.
"Don't worry about being customers. Perhaps we'll really be able to eat something different today." In contrast, Warren appeared to be quite calm and collected. He looked at all of the customers around him, and the expressions on their faces when they were enjoying delicious food couldn't lie.
Back when he had been to all of the restaurants with Lorry, Lorry had taught him how to observe the expressions on customers' faces when they were enjoying their food. This was an important reference for the Aden Square food competition rankings board. Only food that could bring enjoyment to customers was truly delicious.
However, the expressions on the faces of the customers in the restaurant had come as quite a surprise to him. He had never seen a restaurant where all of the customers were completely immersed in the delicious food in front of them.
Everyone was enjoying the food that they were looking forward to, and their expressions had already revealed everything. This was something that was almost impossible to happen in this restaurant.
Soon, Schonard caught Warren's attention. The size of the fish was a little exaggerated. From the size of the fish's skeleton alone, one could infer just how large it must have been before it was even touched. However, this ordinary-looking young man had almost finished the entire fish.
What was even more peculiar was that white smoke was rising from the young man's head as he ate. His clothes appeared to have been completely soaked, and his lips were swollen to the point of purple. However, he simply couldn't stop eating with his chopsticks. He panted heavily as he ate, completely immersed in his own world of grilled fish.
"What kind of fish is that young man eating?" Warren turned to Yabemiya with a curious expression. He had never seen such a method of cooking before, and it was also the first time that he had seen such a method of eating.
Furthermore, this dish wasn't one of Mamy Restaurant's top five dishes, so it was most likely a new dish that had only been released recently.
"That's a spicy grilled fish, insanely spicy." She had already learned that these two were the president and vice president of the Catering Association, and she was very angry that their restaurant had been removed from the rankings.
"Heh, insanely spicy? How spicy can it be? I don't think it's that spicy. "Tonis pursed his lips with a disdainful expression.
"I don't know exactly how spicy it is, either. You'll know once you taste it," Yabemiya replied with a smile.
Tonis felt like he had been looked down upon by Yabemiya, and his blood rushed to his head as he said, "Alright, then I'll have an insanely spicy one."
"There are three sizes of spicy grilled fish: small, medium, and large. May I ask what size would you like?" Yabemiya asked.
"I'll have a medium size one," Tonis replied after a brief hesitation.
"Alright, the dishes will be served after you've taken your seat." Yabemiya nodded in response. If it were any other customer, she would perhaps remind them that the insanely spicy level was not a normal level of spicy, but she didn't want to remind this annoying guy.
"Tonis, when did you start to like spicy food?" Warren asked with a smile.
"I'm actually not a big fan of spicy food, but I feel like this restaurant is just trying to create some hype. Insanely spicy? I think it's all a scam." Tonis chuckled, but he wasn't too concerned.
"Not necessarily." Warren shook his head as he looked at Schonard. However, the fact that this young man refused to put down his chopsticks even though it was so spicy indicated that it had to be a very delicious dish.
After waiting for a long while, Warren and Tonis finally found their seats. They sat down next to a tall and burly minotaur demon, and Tonis wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. He was feeling a lot of pressure just by doing nothing. Thankfully, the demon beside him was immersed in a bowl of white tofu pudding, and had no intention of paying him any heed.
"Tonis, what would you like to eat aside from grilled fish?" Warren flipped open the menu, and due to the fact that he was already aware of the prices of the dishes, he wasn't all that surprised by the prices.
