Chapter 132

Words:1513Update:22/06/27 10:04:30

Report

Morning.

One of the walls of the prayer room in the Country of Saint's only chapel in Norland collapsed.

"Hold her left hand down!"

"No, Madam Messiah is too strong!"

The three nuns in the church were praying to the statue of God. Although their fingers were clasped tightly, their hands were trembling. The reason for the trembling was because of the violent scene that could only happen in the most primitive colosseum of the human race.

Four fully-armored Sacred Soldiers pinned a petite little girl to the ground. The little girl struggled and let out a terrifying roar.

Her roar was somewhere between a beast and a banshee. It instantly drowned out the prayers of the three nuns and almost pierced through their eardrums.

However, the little girl's forehead and arms were covered in ghastly wounds. The ground was also stained with blood.

"My dearest Lord, please hear my prayer! Please return this lost soul to the right path! "

Messiah was one of the four Sacred Soldiers who pinned the little girl down.

Logically speaking, the Sacred Army's motto was never to point their swords at children, women, and children. But as an experienced Paladin, she and three other Paladins who were almost 1.9 meters tall were pinning a child to the ground. If word of this got out, it would definitely ruin the reputation that the Sacred Army had built up over the years.

However, the little girl that Messiah pinned to the ground wasn't a little girl. She was a Heretic Adjudicator that terrified countless heretics in this world!

There were a total of four Heretic Adjudicators who came to Noland to carry out the mission. But before the mission began, the Heretic Adjudicator named Cheryl didn't participate in the mission to assassinate the Chaos Demon due to her unwell body.

However, judging from the fact that Messiah could see the Chaos Demon in the Hearthstone Tavern for the past few days, the mission must have failed. Not only did it fail, but the three Nephilic Adjudicators were also probably dead.

Surprisingly, Messiah didn't feel any anger when her comrades were killed by the Chaos Demon on the battlefield. Because she couldn't treat a Nephilic Adjudicator as a human!

The most direct example was the little girl who was pinned down by the three regular Sacred Soldiers.

It was hard to imagine that the figure under the black robe of the Heretic Adjudicator was so young and petite. Yet, this little body exploded with power that normal people couldn't resist.

Even three regular Sacred Soldiers couldn't control this little girl.

She kept trying to break free from the three Sacred Soldiers' control, and the sounds that came out of her throat were beyond the range of a human.

Messiah thought that this Nephilic Adjudicator was possessed by some evil spirit, so she kept using Holy Light magic to cast 'Exorcism'.

But it didn't work. This little girl wasn't possessed by any evil spirit. Her soul and her body were both distorted of some kind.

When the exorcism spell failed again, the little girl's frail body once again erupted with inhuman strength, throwing the two knights who were holding her arms high into the air.

"Kent, Carew!"

Messiah could only watch as her Nephilic Adjudicator hit the wall of the prayer room and fainted. She and the other Nephilic Adjudicator were the only ones left. They couldn't control this monster anymore.

The little girl instantly broke free from Messiah's control and stood up.

"Run! Run! " Messiah yelled at the three Nephilic Adjudicator nuns behind her. The Nephilic Adjudicator nuns fled the prayer room in fear, leaving only Messiah and the other Nephilic Adjudicator.

"Madam Messiah, what is this thing?"

The young Nephilic Adjudicator looked at the little girl in disbelief. He was a Knight who had fought alongside Messiah on the battlefield. He had killed many fierce demons, but he couldn't believe that he had never killed a demon that was as powerful as this little girl.

"I don't know."

Messiah also wanted to know what was standing in front of her. Messiah's "third eye" told her that this little girl was definitely not a demon or an evil spirit. She couldn't be human either.

However, this little girl named Cheryl definitely had an identity. She was the Inquisitor of the Court of Heresy.

"Choir! I've seen those guys from the Court of Heresy when they go crazy. Only the singing of the choir can calm them down."

The Nephilic Adjudicator knight who was thrown to the wall by the little girl clutched his slightly dented chest armor. He struggled to get up from the ground and reminded Messiah loudly.

"Where did the choir come from?!"

The other Nephilic Adjudicator knight screamed as the little girl rushed towards him.

Messiah had also heard some rumors about the Court of Heresy, including that their members had to be baptized by the choir of the Holy City on a regular basis.

The status of the choir and Saintess Heroria in the Kingdom of Saint wasn't something anyone could see. Messiah was lucky enough to hear the holy singing of the choir after she made a great contribution on the battlefield.

While Messiah was thinking about this, a bell-like sound echoed in the prayer room. It was chanting some kind of ancient prayer.

Messiah immediately turned her head to the door. Her teacher, Wuhao, was slowly walking into the prayer room with a cane. There were a lot of pale golden inscriptions around him.

The little girl heard Wuhao's prayer and instantly knelt on the ground with her hand covering her forehead. A large number of golden chains made of magic pierced into her body. The chains didn't hurt her, but she also fell to the ground and lost consciousness.

"Bishop."

The 3 Paladins immediately straightened their bodies and saluted after witnessing Heartless subduing the monster in an instant.

"Teacher."

Just like the three Nephilic Adjudicators, Messiah also bowed to Wuhao, who she hadn't seen for a long time. But soon, a lot of doubts occupied her mind.

"Why did she become like this?"

Judging from the little girl's behavior just now, she didn't seem to belong to the category of humans anymore. But something made her change.

Could it be that all the judges of the Court of Heresy are like this?

When Messiah thought of this possibility, she instantly felt a chill run down her spine as though something was gripping her heart.

This shouldn't be the power given by the Lord she believed in.

"Don't ask anymore, Messiah. This is for your own good, and of course it includes you. Let me bear this mistake."
