Watching the two snakes devouring each other, Zhang Tie became confused. For some reason, among all the human religions and totems that he knew, most of them were about reptiles or those with the colors and features of reptiles.
In the history of humans, even those races and civilizations that had not communicated with each other in different continents and subcontinents all had similar elements in their religious totems.
There were many kinds of animals in this world. However, why did reptiles always occupy the most important position in all the religious totems?
Zhang Tie didn't know the answer. He believed that nobody else in this world knew it either. Because it might be related to the big secrets of far-ancient times. Therefore, people in this age could only be confused besides being curious about those religious totems which shared the same elements.
Thankfully, Zhang Tie was not here for archaeology or academic research. Therefore, that doubt flashed across his mind and was soon forgotten by him.
There were some bizarre symbols on the two gates below the two snake-shaped totems. Additionally, even though Zhang Tie didn't know much about astrology, he could still see the astrology pattern and the two brilliant full moons in the middle of the two gates at the first sight of those runes.
There was no place for keys or crystals to be inserted on the gates. Therefore, the patterns on the gates became the only information that could be exposed to this gate.
And there was only one piece of information revealed by this door. The key to opening this door was the power of Celestial Phenomenon. When two full moons appeared, this door would open.
It was already the middle of July, less than 2 weeks before the two full moons.
Pulling Bai Suxian's hand, Zhang Tie moved a few steps forward and pushed the gate forcefully.
Zhang Tie's strength was so great that he could even flatten an alloy by pressing it with his hand. However, when he pushed the gate with his full strength, it remained still. It meant that this gate could not be broken by external force.
Zhang Tie tried to see what was behind the gate and below the ground using his lotus-flower eyes. Pitifully, facing the mysterious strength similar to that of the tower of time, Zhang Tie couldn't see what was inside.
However …
Yi …
When Zhang Tie put his lotus-flower eyes onto the images of constellations and full moons on the full-moons gates just now, Zhang Tie's heart slightly pounded.
With lotus-flower eyes, Zhang Tie found that the images of the constellations and the full moon on the gate should be a complete entity. However, it was strange that the energy level of the images on the gate was a bit different than that of the gate. The color temperature of the two energies didn't completely coincide with each other; instead, they were slightly different in level.
If not lotus-flower eyes, Zhang Tie could never discover such a difference.
However, as Zhang Tie had not seen such a heaven-facing gate before, he didn't know what this difference meant. Perhaps, all the full-moons gates looked like this. Therefore, Zhang Tie just felt a bit strange.
However, Zhang Tie didn't say it out; instead, he threw another glance at this gate. After thinking for less than half a second, Zhang Tie told Bai Suxian, "Let's take a look at the other gates!"
"Okay!" Bai Suxian then pulled Zhang Tie's hand and flew towards the nearest full-moons gate.
"Have you seen a full-moons gate before?" Zhang Tie asked Bai Suxian using battle qi in the air.
Bai Suxian shook her head, "No, but my third uncle said that he had seen it. Many entrances of hidden Dongtian are full-moons gates. In far-ancient times, many important activities and rituals were carried out according to the meteorological phenomena. They should be integrated with the meteorological phenomena so as to achieve the best effect. My third uncle said that the six full-moons gates here were almost the same as those that he had seen before. That's how full-moons gates look. The waxing and waning of moons, eclipses and the appearance of specific constellations or stars in certain positions are the keys to open full-moons gates. Those who have studied about towers of time and full-moons gates said that these are full-moons gates!"
"Really?"
"Are you worried about something?" Bai Suxian asked as she watched Zhang Tie with a smile, "These full-moons gates could never be damaged or touched. Do you think they're fake?"
"No, let's take a look at them!"
Bai Suxian pulled Zhang Tie's hand as they soon took a circle around the six vertical gates in the periphery of the tower of time. Each time they came to a full-moons gate, Zhang Tie would stop and observe it seriously.
The six full-moons gates were as same as each other. Additionally, the patterns of full-moons on the six full-moons gates all displayed the features of the gate that Zhang Tie had seen just now. They didn't completely overlap with each other.
After observing the full-moons gates, Zhang Tie and Bai Suxian flew to the five walls in the periphery of this Dongtian and observed them seriously.
On those walls, there were all kinds of bronze-colored metal statues of birds and beasts. Each statue was lifelike and had ferocious expressions, as if they were real. However, all the statues had one thing in common, and that was that all of them had their eyes closed.
There were huge white metal statues on each wall of this Dongtian, which were definitely valuable art treasures. Zhang Tie saw some knights trying to remove those statues; however, they failed. These statues were completely connected with the surrounding walls, the octahedral mountain, the tower of time and the dome in the sky. As an organic whole, they could barely be damaged.
However, watching those statues, Zhang Tie gradually had a strange feeling. Because those statues were too familiar to him.
"Don't you feel that these statues on the walls are a bit familiar with this place?" Zhang Tie asked Bai Suxian as he suspended in the air in front of a metal statue which was longer than 100 m and had a pair of wings.
"Familiar? We've not been here before …" Bai Suxian watched Zhang Tie with a faintly amazed look.
"Think about it again!" Zhang Tie reminded her as he pointed at that weird snake statue, "When in the Earth-elements Realm, in the bloody sacrifice hieron, in the lobby which was full of battle puppets …"
