Although he had thrown a tantrum at his elder brother, the Old Potter was well aware of the deep helplessness he felt.

Wang Zhong was too outstanding, outstanding to the point of causing people to feel fear. Never in his wildest dreams did the Old Potter imagine that the Gui and Zhao Families would actually be this vicious. They had basically given up on the benefits of splitting up the Assassin Family in order to shut the mouths of the other powers.

"Grandpa, can you tell me the truth?" Laura finally opened her mouth. She already knew that the Old Potter had gone missing a few days ago because he had run back to Copperfield and quarreled with her grandfather. Therefore, she was sure that the Old Potter definitely knew something.

The Old Potter rubbed Laura's head. Her fine black hair had not been tidied up for 2 to 3 days, causing it to appear slightly messy. This was simply inconceivable for Laura, who had always placed beauty above all else. After a moment of silence, he said, "I've received news that they've gone to the hyperdimension."

"Of course I know that. The news said that they've all gone there. The problem is that Wang Zhong isn't with us at all. Where did he go?"

The Old Potter shook his head helplessly. "Laura, you've already grown up. Forcing an old man like me is useless. I don't know where he's gone. Perhaps, you'll find out when you're strong enough."

Laura looked at the Old Potter. She knew that her grandfather had sacrificed a lot during this period of time, to the point that he was willing to resign. However, an arm was no match for a thigh. If she continued to pester him, she would be willful.

"Grandpa, I just want to know. How did we end up in such a situation? Why didn't anyone object?"

"You like him a lot?" The Old Potter looked at Laura.

Laura nodded her head without any hesitation. "Yes!"

"However, you should know that he's not the same type of person as you. I'm not talking about his family background, which isn't a problem in the Potter Family. What I want to talk about is his pursuits. He's a martial artist. To put it bluntly, he's the same as Mo Wen."

"Grandpa, I know. I can feel it. However, I won't go against my heart. I'm not talking about the results. This process is the most beautiful memory. Therefore, please tell me where the problem lies."

The Old Potter gave a bitter smile as he shook his head. "In fact, you should have thought about it by now."

All of a sudden, Carolyn's image appeared. If the 10 Great Families wanted to reach an agreement, the Gui Family and the Zhao Family were far from enough. They needed the Stuart Family's agreement. Ever since Carolyn arrived, no one else had come.

"It might be very difficult, but Wang Zhong should still be alive," Old Potter could not help but say.

Laura understood a lot of things. After a moment of silence, she nodded seriously. "Grandpa, I'll go to the training, and I'll definitely go to the Holy Land. I believe that one day, he'll appear in front of everyone with his glorious radiance!"

Old Potter didn't know whether to laugh or cry, but he didn't refute. If Laura was willing, then he wouldn't have to persuade her, but …

"But Grandpa, you're not being kind. You have such a good relationship with Wang Zhong. Can you bear to see his friend being bullied?" Laura blinked her eyes craftily.

Old Potter sighed helplessly. "Tell me, what do you want?"

"I want to add Scarlett and Barron to the list of holy places." If Scarlet and Barran did not take a step forward, it would be equivalent to retreating countless steps backwards. Others might not be sensitive to politics, but she was extremely clear about it.

"Alright, leave it to me." Old Potter nodded. As he stood up, he exuded an imposing aura. However, his heart was filled with anger.

Looking at the departing Old Potter, Laura couldn't bear to do so. This situation was equivalent to roasting the Old Potter over a fire. However, the only person that could help them now was her grandpa.

The clamor from the outside world didn't disrupt the 'peace' of the cursed lands. Wang Zhong was completely oblivious to all of this. Truthfully speaking, it wasn't as easy to survive in the cursed lands as he had imagined. Just the first few days of hunting for Evil Demon Blood in the outer regions were already filled with difficulties.

They were vastly different from the 3rd rank life forms that Heroic Soul Stage soldiers could easily pinch. Regardless of whether they were mutated life forms or dimensional life forms, the Federation had a clear and definite limit on their strength. Furthermore, there was a certain condition that was completely consistent.

That was the Soul Power index. The 1st rank's Soul Power index ranged from 0 to 50, the 2nd rank from 50 to 100, and the 3rd rank from 100 to 200.

For humans, this would be the early, middle and peak Casted Soul Stage.

However, just like how there was a heaven and earth difference between soldiers with 200 Grassos of Soul Power, a dimensional life form's combat power of 200 Grassos far exceeded that of mutated life forms and humans.

After all, the majority of them had grown up in a high-gravity environment. Their fleshly bodies were stronger, and their attacks and defences far exceeded those of the same rank. Nevertheless, the majority of this was due to the effects of the high-gravity environment. After all, their bodies had to endure more gravity and undergo more tempering.

Furthermore, their usage of Soul Power or dimensional energy was something that humans and mutated life forms couldn't compare to. It was an innate instinct that allowed them to use it more thoroughly, more skillfully and more purely. At the same time, seemingly all dimensional life forms had their own innate abilities, which were equivalent to special abilities of humans. Putting all of these together, it had to be said that dimensional life forms were indeed blessed by the heavens. They were so powerful that it caused people to feel despair. The most disgusting thing was that dimensional life forms often possessed darkness attributes. Special abilities that were rarely seen in humans were as common as cabbages here.

According to the Federation's classification, Scarface, Sister Hong, Gong Yi and even the little lass Little Xin were all Initial Phase Heroic Soul Stage soldiers, with their Soul Power index ranging from 200 to 1000 Grassos. Middle Phase Heroic Soul Stage soldiers ranged from 1000 to 5000 Grassos, while Peak Heroic Soul Stage soldiers ranged from 5000 to 10,000 Grassos.

Initial Phase Heroic Soul Stage soldiers should have the combat power of a 4th rank life form. Faced against the little Rock Hell Evil Demon with a mere 200 Grassos of Soul Power, they should have been able to completely suppress it. However, reality was a ruthless slap to their faces.

Cursed Wastelands …

The entire Cursed Wastelands was considered to be a gigantic crater. There were also rumors that the opening of the Gates of Hell had caused the entire continent to sink towards the centre. There were all sorts of explanations. However, without a doubt, this was a gigantic crater if one were to look at it from the sky.

This crater was too big! Just the periphery of the crater was already unimaginably wide. Standing here, one would basically be unable to see the crater in the ground, appearing just like a vast plain.

In this place, the gigantic sun that was already nearing the surface of the planet appeared exceedingly large, appearing just like a terrifying furnace hovering above one's head. It was hard to imagine exactly how close this planet was to the 'sun'. The terrifyingly high temperature and dazzling sunlight caused one's heart to palpitate. The entire cursed lands was covered with a thick layer of radiation, isolating the majority of the ultraviolet rays and high temperatures outside of the planet, forming a thick protective layer. If not, the entire planet might have been vaporized.

The boundless wasteland and the gigantic planet above one's head, the terrifyingly high temperature, as well as the steaming heatwaves that could be seen everywhere, enveloped the entire cursed lands in an indescribable hellish scene. It appeared as though a slumbering demon had crawled out from hell and was lying on the ground. Waves of pressure radiated from it, with hellish flames surrounding it and heatwaves rising from it, causing people to feel as though they were suffocating.

Gong Yi, Reynolds and Sister Hong were currently lying prone in three different directions within a few dry and short bushes. Their palms were filled with cold sweat as they nervously stared into the distance. Within their line of sight, they could see two humanoid life forms standing right in front of them. They were digging through the underground roots of the bushes, producing a cacophony of chattering noises as they searched for any possible food.

They were short and had pointy ears. Although one could barely make out the facial features of a human, their skin appeared to be like the bark of a withered old tree, covered in wrinkles and shriveled. Their twig-like limbs appeared rather weak, appearing as though they could be easily snapped off like matchsticks.

However, despite their large eyes, no eyeballs could be seen. Clumps of burning black flames danced within the whites of their eyes, showing that they were completely different from their skinny and shriveled bodies. One of them seemed to have dug up a disgusting thing that looked like a large worm. In the instant that it rushed out from the bushes, its entire body was covered in flames as it rapidly fled, appearing as fast as lightning.

Gong Yi and the rest had suffered quite a bit over the past two days. Hiding under the sand, they were not easy to detect. However, they were extremely aggressive, and even possessed intense fire poison. Being bitten by them was akin to leeches drilling into one's body, a feeling that was both terrifying and disgusting.

However, at this moment, it only took a split second for a withered arm to grab it. With astonishing speed and incomparable accuracy, it grabbed the disgusting worm and threw it into its mouth.

Puff!

With a forceful bite, raging flames instantly erupted from its eyes, nostrils and ears. The little Evil Demon shuddered, a satisfied expression appearing on its face. As for the little Evil Demon that wasn't late, it turned around and ran away in anger.

This was an opportunity that couldn't be missed.

"Shh!" Gong Yi gave the signal.

A human figure rushed out from the bushes near the little Evil Demon, tossing a stone towards its head. The little Evil Demon was furious. However, upon seeing the 'gigantic' humanoid life form, flames immediately shot out from its eyes, causing its eyes to flicker with hellish flames to appear as though they were about to pop out of their sockets.

This region was truly too barren. The sight of such delicious food was enough to cause dimensional life forms like this to go crazy. Without any hesitation, the little Evil Demon pounced forward with a whoosh.

Clearly, it had held back its speed earlier, and had seemingly erupted with an instant burst of speed. Gravity was basically no hindrance to this life form. Deep blue flames faintly ignited on its withered arm, while incomparably long and thick, callus-like nails appeared on its fingers. Just like the talons of an eagle, they brought with them an inconceivable amount of power, causing whooshing sounds to ring out.

At the other side of the bushes, Gong Yi and the rest broke out in cold sweat for Wang Zhong. Although they had experienced this many times before, every time they saw this little Casted Soul Stage fellow being chased by the little Evil Demon, they would tremble with fear and trepidation. Indeed, his footwork was extremely exquisite, but he would always miss by a hair's breadth. Compared to the speed of a Casted Soul Stage, it was still too much of a stretch.

These little Evil Demons were extremely cunning. The reason why they were so unbridled was because they could sense Wang Zhong's strength. He was simply the perfect prey, and there was something on this human that attracted them to go crazy.
