The Mountain Plane.

It was a monotonous world with rolling hills and mountains.

There was no flat grassland that stretched as far as the eye could see, nor was there a lush green forest, nor was there a slowly flowing stream …

The Mountain Plane was indeed worthy of its name.

The entire plane was a strange world made up of pitch-black loose soil and greyish-white sturdy rocks. Even the air was filled with a choking smell of dust!

There was no water, no clean air, no flora and fauna, and it was impossible to nurture thousands of creatures in the plane.

Hence, this was a lonely world, and also a cold world!

At the foot of a huge rocky mountain, a small Gnome Camp was under construction.

Hundreds of Goblin machines spat out thick steam as they laboriously cleaned and leveled the ground. A dozen Goblin engineers stood on a huge rock, pointing at the surroundings as though they were discussing the size of the camp and the distribution of buildings.

Dozens of Combat Magic Machines wielding Magic Ray Guns patrolled around the construction site, keeping an eye out for any movements.

At the center of the campsite, a strange magical device was supporting an elemental barrier that repelled the dirty air and injected fresh, sweet compressed air into the campsite.

A corner of the camp, the airship area.

A dozen Goblin airships in the shape of cigars were spinning their propellers, struggling to send a Goblin engineer and seven to eight Goblin combat personnel into the sky, and then flew towards a distant place following the terrain.

They were temporarily unable to adapt to the air here, so every Goblin wore a breathing mask to prevent themselves from becoming a rock after inhaling too much of the air that was filled with Earth Element.

The Goblin Airship flew slowly in the sky. Engineer Justin Osik moved a wooden box to the side of the ship and climbed up with difficulty. Osik moved a wooden crate to the side of the ship and climbed up with difficulty. He raised his old X-ray Type II telescope and scanned the area below him.

As a veteran geological surveyor, Justin Osik did not need to land on the ground. Osik didn't need to land at all. He could roughly determine the composition of the ore and the ratio of rare ores just by looking at the exposed surface of the rock strata below him.

But most of the time, the surface of the rock stratum would be covered by the dust that was everywhere.

At such a time, Justin? Osik would order the goblin airship to fly low and use the huge wind generated by the propellers to blow away the dust on the surface of the rocks so that he could observe the composition of the ores.

However, this action would undoubtedly bring danger to the Goblin Airship.

After flying more than a hundred miles away from the camp and circling around for the seventh time, the gnome warrior standing guard at the bow of the ship screamed in fear.

"Attack … attack … dodge quickly!"

Under the exquisite control of the gnome technician, the gnome airship made a perfect turn to the side, dodging a huge rock thrown from the ground. Justin, who was standing on the wooden box on the railing of the airship, tightly grasped the iron chain above so that he wouldn't be thrown off by the rapid maneuver of the airship.

After the airship ascended to a safe height, Justin picked up the telescope and searched the ground quickly. Finally, he found that damn enemy.

Beside a thick crack in the ground, a 3-meter-tall Stone Elemental climbed out with great difficulty, waving its stone arms angrily at them.

As if a war horn had been blown, more than 30 tier-1 Stone Elementals crawled out of the thousand-meter-long crevice one after another. They growled lowly as they condensed rocks the size of washbasins and threw them into the sky.

As the airship was already a hundred meters above the ground, the rocks couldn't reach that height. Thus, he tumbled all the way until he was halfway there, and then he fell down powerlessly.

"These damn stone people …" The gnome captain in charge of the airship's safety was furious. He raised the magic ray gun in his hand, intending to give the natives a fierce counterattack. But his actions were stopped by Justin.

"Don't waste firepower on them!" Justin shouted at the top of his lungs, but the strong winds at the high altitude prevented his words from traveling more than five meters. "Inform the captain to fly west along this canyon, there might be good things there …"

After a moment, the body of the goblin airship shook, and after slowly adjusting its direction, it quickly flew in the direction Justin had pointed out.

The group of Stone Elementals angrily chased after them for a distance before returning to their lair resentfully.

After this period of exploration, the gnomes understood that the endless mountains below them were the habitat of the Earth Elementals and Stone Elementals.

They were either hiding in the cracks in the ground, hiding in the caves, or simply lying down somewhere to bask in the sun … Because there were mud and rocks everywhere, it was extremely difficult to find them in the rugged piles of rocks or in the cracks of rocks.

Only when a foreign object invaded their 'territory' would these hot-tempered fellows lazily come out of their hiding place and chase you away with a stone fist the size of a casserole or a rock the size of a washbasin. The rocks they hurled could reach a height of 60 meters, which was quite a threat to the airship.

Fortunately, they were very territorial. No matter how angry they were, they wouldn't easily step into the territory of another Stone Elemental family.

This gave the airship a chance to shake them off with its height and speed!

Left with no choice, Justin could only order the airship to maintain an altitude of about 80 meters. He then lay on the side of the airship and slowly observed the direction and changes of the rock strata on the ground. When there was a place that he was interested in, Justin would order the Gnome Warriors on the airship to shoot a few times at the rock strata, and then use the reflection of the broken rocks to determine the distribution of the ores.

Finally, near a valley 317 miles away from the outpost camp, Justin found something special.

The airship circled three times in the air and scanned the surrounding ground. After finding no traces of the Earth Elementals and Stone Elementals, it carefully landed on the ground.

With one hand holding the metal rope and the other holding the Magic Ray Gun, the five members of the Seventh Goblin Party landed heavily on the ground in their Magic Machine Armor.

Thud thud thud …

The thick metal mechanical feet stepped on the ground, leaving two deep footprints.

The dust on the ground rolled up, and the members of the Seventh Goblin Combat Team coughed violently.

"Damn it, damn it, damn it … The environment here is really bad!" Captain Taz put on his breathing mask with a backhand, and a muffled and distorted voice came from inside. "Hurry up … Hurry up and occupy the high ground here. Betta, take the Magic Cannon to the high ground … Shauna, set up a firing point near the airship … Hanson, you and I protect Lord Justin … "

"Got it, boss!"

"Leave it to me …"

"Okay!"

His subordinates answered one after another, and began to rush to their positions.

Justin climbed down the airship with difficulty along the rope. He held a pickaxe in one hand and a Magic Spectrometer distributed by the Geological Survey Headquarters in the other. He stood in the shadow of the airship and looked around, and finally pointed in a direction.

"Go there!"

Then, the three-man team set off without any hesitation!

They were on tenterhooks along the way.

These little goblins were only about half a meter tall, and in front of the Stone Elementals that were three to five meters tall, they were like little beans. There was no need to fight. Most of the goblins would die with just a stomp of the Stone Elemental's huge feet.

Hence, the two goblins who were in charge of protecting the geological surveyor, one at the front and the other at the back, moved slowly and laboriously on the uneven ground with their magic armor that was less than two meters long. One of them was in front while the other was behind.

The geological surveyor, Justin, seemed to have forgotten about the danger. From time to time, he would crack open a rock with his pickaxe, and use the spectrometer to quickly scan and analyze it. Most of the time, when he discovered some strange place, he would pounce over while cheering, and then knock non-stop, completely forgetting that this was a strange and dangerous world.

Faced with such a guide who forgot everything after work, the two goblin bodyguards could only do their best to follow behind him, the Magic Ray Guns in their hands always pointed at the more dangerous places in the surroundings.

Finally, as they walked and explored, Justin's cheers became louder and louder.

The spectrometer emitted all kinds of strange whistles that outsiders might not understand, but he could clearly identify the composition of a variety of rare metals. And as they continued to advance, the composition of these rare metals continued to increase.

Justin dared to say that there must be an extremely precious rare metal vein not far ahead!

Finally, in front of a huge and strange stone mountain, Justin stopped and pounced on a giant rock that was five meters away. He picked up his pickaxe and knocked on it for a while.

As the gravel on the surface of the giant rock peeled off, a fist-sized purple gem was exposed in the cross-section. And around the gem were bits of silver metal particles that flickered with silver light.

Purple Agate … Star Ore …

Looking at this scene, the three goblins could not help but be ecstatic, and almost could not help but sing and dance.

But just as they were about to go wild with joy, the stone mountain in front of them suddenly trembled and shook violently. Millstone-Sized rocks tumbled down from the top of the mountain like raindrops, turning the area within a radius of ten miles into a dusty garbage dump.

The three goblins could not be bothered to celebrate. They turned around and cried for their parents as they fled to the periphery.

After rolling and crawling hundreds of meters away, they looked back and were horrified to find that the originally tall and majestic stone mountain had turned into a stone giant that could support the heavens and the earth. It was slowly and arduously climbing out of the pit.

And on its huge body, there were colorful strange gems and all kinds of rare and precious metal ores.

"Damn it, damn it, damn it … Hurry back to the camp! This stone giant is probably at least level-3. With our strength, we can't fight it at all. Retreat, retreat … "
