Author's Note: Some readers have pointed out that Wizard Malon was the one who made the first move. It's true that law-defying wizards can't just make a move, but that's only because the temptation wasn't enough. The only reason he didn't kill the entire third squad was because he didn't want to make an enemy of the lightning clan. Wizard Malon was already thinking of giving up on the blizzard clan.
Abel didn't know how excited Wizard Malon was when he found out that Johnson was a stone giant. Stone giants represented an endless supply of mana gems, especially after Wizard Malon became a law-defying wizard. All the resources he needed to trade were top-level gems.
Why did he establish the blizzard clan? It was all for resources. Now that he didn't need the blizzard clan, he just needed Abel's stone giant to get an endless supply of mana gems.
Stone giants were just a legend to most wizards, but for someone like Wizard Malon, who had lived for countless years, they weren't anything out of the ordinary.
He'd seen them before, and he knew about their strange abilities. Still, no one had ever been able to gain their loyalty. Even if they were killed, they wouldn't sign a contract with a human.
Abel didn't expect Wizard Malon to come after him just for Johnson's ability to control ores.
It was easy to understand, though. Abel had never lacked any mana gems. Even the skeleton gems were synthesized from low-level skeleton gems to get a large number of top-level skeleton gems.
Not to mention those fire gems, ice gems, lightning gems, and so on. As long as he had enough gems, he could synthesize them into top-level gems with those useless broken gems.
As for the other wizards, they had to compete to share the limited amount of gems in this world with the other wizards. Therefore, the amount of gems they could get was extremely limited.
Wizard Malon reached out his left hand and placed it on Abel's shoulder. A power of the will that Abel couldn't resist sealed his wizard crystal body.
"Huh?" Wizard Malon suddenly realized something. He laughed out loud. "Haha, you're a master alchemist. Great, great!"
Abel's wizard crystal body and master alchemist rune couldn't hide from his power of the will. Even the Knight's qi core was discovered.
Wizard Malon didn't even care about the Knight's qi core. He just sealed Abel's wizard crystal body.
With the power that Abel's qi core contained, he couldn't hurt Wizard Malon even if he unleashed all of it at once.
Wizard Malon laughed wildly, "You're a genius, Wizard Abel. You're an advanced wizard and a master alchemist in an environment like the Holy Continent. I heard that you're also a grandmaster blacksmith. I'll allow you to be my servant!"
Abel could feel that his wizard core was locked down by a terrifying force of the same origin. His soul could no longer connect to his wizard core. At this point, he had become a normal person.
Abel wasn't paying attention to Wizard Malon's words at all. He was still thinking about the worst-case scenario in his head.
Wizard Malon knew that this wasn't a good place to stay. The lightning clan would find him soon, so he grabbed Abel and disappeared in a flash of white light.
Without his wizard crystal body, Abel's senses were reduced. He couldn't tell where Wizard Malon's target was.
Wizard Malon was very careful as well. As soon as he left the second front line, he sealed off all of Abel's senses. He didn't even use a single teleportation circle so that the lightning clan wouldn't be able to track him down. Instead, he just kept on using the "instantaneous movement."
Half a day later, Abel woke up from the darkness. He was already in a room surrounded by stone walls.
"This is Frost City, Wizard Abel. Are you familiar with it?" Wizard Malon's laughter was like sandpaper. He sounded very proud.
Ever since he found out that Abel was a master alchemist, he changed his initial plan. He wanted to force Abel to transfer the stone giant's contract and then kill Abel. That way, the lightning clan wouldn't know who kidnapped Abel.
Wizard Malon believed that the lightning clan wouldn't do anything to a law-defying wizard without any evidence, even if the blizzard clan was the only one who had a grudge against Abel.
Abel was a master alchemist, so he had to change his mind. Even law-defying wizards needed the help of potions. Normally, law-defying wizards like him would go through a lot of trouble to get some ingredients, but they still had to hand it over to a master alchemist. Even if they paid a huge price, they still might not get the finished product.
Most of those master alchemists were elves. They were protected by the elves, so they would often be dismissed with a word of failure.
Wizard Malon always wanted to have a master alchemist for himself. He always thought it was a crazy idea, but when his power of the will found the pattern of a master alchemist in Abel's body, he started to get excited.
"I won't kill you, Wizard Abel. As long as you transfer the stone giant's contract to me and swear a blood oath to be loyal to me, I'll keep you alive and provide you with everything you need for training!" Wizard Malon said in a tempting voice.
Still, it wasn't very convincing when he said something like that with his expressionless face.
Abel didn't say anything. He just looked at Wizard Malon coldly. He finally understood that he was too weak in the central continent. He was so weak that everything he had was controlled by someone else.
He went to the lightning clan to seek protection, but because he revealed one of Johnson's most insignificant abilities, he was captured by a powerful law-defying wizard.
He was starting to have doubts about his own plans. His power in the Holy Continent made him let down his guard. He had been hiding a lot of his secrets in the Holy Continent, and he didn't reveal too many of them even when he was at his peak.
Wizard Malon took the two portal bags from Abel's waist and pierced through Abel's protection with his power of the will. Abel felt a sharp pain in his soul, and the bags were opened.
"Ten square meters of portal bags. You're the emperor of a subcontinent, aren't you?" Wizard Malon said with a smile as he opened the first one.
However, his face quickly turned sour. The amount of wealth in the portal bag was not as much as he expected. Although it was more than a rank 16 wizard, it was not something a wizard who could become an emperor of a subcontinent could have.
He then opened the other one, and there was even less wealth inside. His gaze was locked onto Abel's face.
"Wizard Abel, are you hiding something?" Wizard Malon said as he carefully scanned Abel with his power of the will.
The Hradik Cube was a special existence, so even a law-defying wizard like Wizard Malon wouldn't be able to detect it.
"Wizard Abel," Wizard Malon lowered his voice. "I need to meditate now. Think about my proposal. You better hand over whatever you're hiding. I'll only give you three days. If you don't agree after three days, I'll have to use some extreme measures."
He reached out his hand again to check Abel's body. After making sure that there was no problem with the seal on Abel, he disappeared from the spot in a flash of white light.
Abel let out a long sigh of relief. He wasn't afraid of being caught, but he was afraid that Wizard Malon would take his life. As long as he had enough time, he was confident that he could get out of here.
He began to look around the room that he was locked in. There was no door, and there wasn't a single thing in the room.
Abel slammed the wall with all his might. He realized that the wall was at least a meter thick. If he didn't have a holy weapon, he wouldn't be able to break it open.
The only way to get out of here was to use the "instantaneous movement." Since Abel's wizard core was locked up, he couldn't do that. This was why Wizard Malon didn't worry about keeping Abel here.
Abel sat down with his legs crossed. He didn't know if Wizard Malon was watching him, but it wasn't a good time to make a move.
He sank his consciousness into his body. Wizard Malon didn't notice all the secrets inside him. He didn't notice the world stone and the crystal angel statue in his eyes, and he didn't notice the dragon essence inside him either.
He was thinking about how he could get out of here. The first thing he needed to do was to recover his power. Unfortunately, the power that locked down his wizard core was too strong, and he couldn't use too much power. The power inside the big Knight's core was like a drop in the ocean compared to that power.
He opened the world stone fragment and tried to see if he could use the world stone fragment's power to break free. However, the world stone fragment's power was only an auxiliary power. It couldn't be converted into direct power.
It was the same with the power of a giant dragon. Unless he could get past his infant dragon stage, there was no way he could break out of this lock.
Suddenly, he thought of a solution. As long as he was in Rogge's camp, the world stone fragment would be able to raise him to the level of a god.
Although the world stone fragment couldn't last very long, it was enough for him to recover his power.
But now wasn't the time, he thought to himself.
In another room, Wizard Malon was watching Abel with his power of the will. He wanted to see what Abel was hiding.
It was like a game of cat and mouse. Wizard Malon felt like he was an experienced cat toying with a naive mouse. Whether it was life experience or battle experience, Abel couldn't compete with him.
He saw the expression on Abel's face, and he knew that Abel had a way to get out of danger. So, he decided to wait for Abel to make his move.
Abel was also thinking in his heart. He couldn't sense if Wizard Malon was watching him, but he knew how powerful Wizard Malon was. Even if he was watching him, he wouldn't be able to tell.
The only thing he could do now was wait. Wait for an opportunity to enter the Dark World.
Inside Abel's pineal gland, the golden color of the crystal angel statue had almost covered the entire body of the statue. A strand of invisible energy was being transferred into the statue from afar.
A day passed, and Abel didn't make a move. He was still waiting. Wizard Malon was also waiting in another room.
Two days had passed, and the time limit was almost up. Abel still hadn't made up his mind. He was getting more and more anxious. He knew that he couldn't wait any longer.
If Wizard Malon came, he wouldn't have a chance to enter the Dark World.
He connected his power of the will to the Hradik Cube on his right arm and took out a town teleportation scroll.
Wizard Malon's eyes began to sparkle when he saw what Abel was doing from the other side of the room.
Wizard Malon mumbled to himself, "So he has a portal object. If it can hide from my power of the will, it has to be at least a divine level portal object."
He knew that he was going to be rich. A divine level portal object couldn't be found among the humans. It could only be found among the elves and dwarves, or in ancient ruins.
In any case, Divine Artifact Space Items were extremely rare. In the entire Central Continent, only the Elves had two Divine Artifact Space Items, while the Dwarves had four. There were only six Divine Artifact Space Items in the entire Central Continent.
Wizard Malon was already trying to figure out how to use this godly portal item. He'd already considered it as his own since he was already thinking about how to use it.
At that moment, Abel opened the scroll of the city teleportation with his power of the Will, and a blue teleportation door appeared in the sealed room.
Abel didn't hesitate and stepped into the portal.
Wizard Malon was shocked. He was very familiar with this portal. It was the portal technology used by the demons from beyond in the Evil Kingdom, but he didn't think too much about it. His body disappeared in an instant and reappeared next to the portal gate. He stepped into the portal gate.
As soon as Abel stepped into the portal door and arrived in the Dark World, he found himself in Rogge's camp. He could feel a familiar energy coming from all directions.
"I said, release the shackles!" Abel lowered his voice. As he spoke, the terrifying force that was locking down his wizard core was directly broken by an even more terrifying force. He could feel the wizard core in his body being released in an instant.
