The most important thing is to live a life of joy and hope, especially one that has a world in one's heart, all life, karma, and reason. That is the correct outlook on life.
As for suicide, many people believe that it is an act of ending karma. They believe that it is liberation and the end. In fact, this is a wrong way of thinking. Karma does not end with death. On the contrary, while alive, one still has a chance to end the karma. Once one dies, one will no longer have a true existence. How is one to end the karma?
The power produced by karma will follow one's deceased consciousness. Furthermore, it will erupt in a repetitive cycle, plunging one into eternal pain. At the same time, suicide is a heinous crime. One will be sent to hell. Furthermore, there is only a very, very small chance of being reborn.
Therefore, suicide is a sin.
Be it This Penniless Monk or you, you can save a person for a moment, but not for life. Those who cannot see through life and death after experiencing it deserve death.
