Report

Qin Mu stretched his hand out to grab one and carefully took a bite. It was very spicy when it entered his throat, even spicier than Butcher's strong liquor. When it reached his stomach, there was a burning sensation, making his vital qi abnormally active.

He executed his vital qi and actually felt the medicinal energy that was similar to Vitality Reinforcement Pill, which could raise his vital qi cultivation. However, compared to Vitality Reinforcement Pill, the increase wasn't as big.

"Is this kind of lifeform a plant or an animal?"

Qin Mu grabbed another one and saw that this kind of strange lifeform had no eyes, no hands, no feet, and no orifices. It used its tentacles to absorb the nutrients from the moss, making him unable to differentiate if it was a plant or an animal.

He only ate one while Hu Ling'er skipped around and ate until she was full.

The further down they went, the colder the air became. After walking for an unknown distance, the sound of gurgling water could be heard. There was a clear stream on the mountain wall and a few big fish without eyes were living in the pond at the end of the stream. Those few big fish were actually giving off fluorescent light. If they wanted to go over, they would have to pass through the pond to reach the passage on the other side.

"These big fish are very fierce and will pounce over when they hear a sound. They are very powerful!"

Hu Ling'er whispered, "I'll throw a stone over to lure the big fish away. We'll take the chance to rush over!" After saying that, she grabbed a stone with her claws and threw it out with force.

When the stone hit the wall, the few big fish without eyes in the pond broke out of the water surface with a splash. Their tails swayed in mid-air and their four fins spread out like four wide wings as they pounced towards the place where the sound came from!

"Let's go quickly!"

Hu Ling'er led the way and Qin Mu immediately sprinted towards the other side of the pond. In his hurry, the youth could only hear a few loud rumbling sounds as the few strange fish crashed into the stone wall and actually opened their bloody mouths to bite a few big holes in the stone wall!

The incomparably hard mountain rocks were like tofu in their mouths. If they bit a human, the consequences would be unimaginable!

Just as the human and fox reached the other side of the pond, the few strange fish heard footsteps and shook their fins to change their direction, flying towards them!

"Young Master, follow me!"

Hu Ling'er tunneled into the passage on the other side and Qin Mu also hurriedly tunneled in. The passage wasn't wide and the few huge fish behind them couldn't fly in front of the passage. However, they used their four fins as legs and sprinted wildly in the passage, chasing after Qin Mu and the little fox!

"Is this still a fish?"

Qin Mu's scalp turned numb as he followed closely behind Hu Ling'er. The strange fish behind them chased after them for a while but couldn't catch up to them. They then slowly backed out of the passage and returned to the pool to hide.

Qin Mu heaved a sigh of relief. The path ahead gradually widened. When they walked out of a trumpet-shaped cave, the sparkling sunlight suddenly shone down. Qin Mu raised his head to take a look and couldn't help being stunned.

Above his head, the torrential water pervaded the air, and schools of fish swam past his head. He also saw a huge golden turtle, a big fish that looked like a small boat, and a huge river beast.

When a big fish saw Qin Mu and the little fox, it couldn't help getting excited and pounced over with its mouth wide open. However, it crashed into an invisible water wall and bounced back.

The big fish shook its head and seemed to be puzzled. It then swayed its tail and swam far away.

"Surging River, this is the bottom of Surging River!"

Qin Mu had a weird expression, "Surging River is right above our heads yet the water didn't flood this place …"

He looked forward and his heart trembled. Dragon pillars appeared in front of him. The dragon pillars were thick and dozens of yards tall. They stood at the bottom of the river and the top of the dragon pillars were in contact with the river water. The ground under their feet was also paved with white marble. A path extended forward with dragon pillars standing in great numbers on both sides. After walking for three hundred yards, a cluster of palaces appeared.

The dragon pillars surrounded the cluster of palaces. It should be these dragon pillars that were supporting the river water and didn't let the water flood this place.

However, many of the palaces had already collapsed. There should have been an upheaval here which caused this place to turn into ruins.

Hu Ling'er skipped and came to the front of the ruins of a palace. Qin Mu saw a mottled mural on the half-collapsed wall. It was a mural of an elder with a dragon head inviting guests to a banquet. The guests of this elder with a dragon head were all strange lifeforms. There were turtleback elders, snake tailed women, monks, and humans.

Crash.

A pillar collapsed and almost hit Qin Mu and the little fox.

Hu Ling'er came to the half-collapsed hall and said, "This is where I found those ancient books."

Qin Mu walked closer. There was a hidden stone room in this dilapidated hall which was built in the wall. Only when the stone door collapsed did Hu Ling'er discover the stone room.

The stone room was already empty. The things inside should have been moved away by Hu Ling'er.

"If we continue to walk forward, there will be great danger!"

Hu Ling'er pointed at a towering door in front of them and said nervously, "It's very terrifying!"

Qin Mu looked at the door and could faintly see a palace behind it. It was still considered complete and hadn't collapsed. However, what was strange was that there seemed to be a layer of mist covering the inside. He couldn't see what was inside clearly and only felt that the palace seemed to be floating in the mist, faintly discernible.
