Report

As he walked out of the Crown Prince's Mansion, he could feel the wind blowing and the rain falling. It was as though silkworms were munching on mulberry leaves. Pei Zi Yun felt his entire body relax as he walked out of the mansion.

Before becoming a Yin Master, he could even see the Emperor and move his sword energy. Once he became a Yin Master, he could only see the Crown Prince. It was as though he was a ferocious beast. His Yin Master strength was suppressed, and his powers were depleted. Even the second level of the Stellar Transposition Technique had no effect on him.

An ox-cart arrived. The driver didn't speak, but the official handed a token over and whispered, "Master Top Scorer, this is the token for the Crown Prince's Mansion."

Pei Zi Yun received the token and looked at it carefully. The token was engraved with a python, and shone with golden light. In the middle of the token were the words' Crown Prince's Mansion '. He smiled as he heard the official speak, "Master Top Scorer, the Crown Prince's first task is for you to choose a suitable punishment for King Lu."

"... Do I have to do such a detailed task?" Pei Zi Yun was speechless. At this point, the Plum Blossom flashed before his eyes as an information interface appeared before his eyes, "Mission: Help the Crown Prince attack King Lu, and force Ren Wei to leave King Lu's Mansion."

The Crown Prince's Mansion was just nearby, and he could feel a strong energy swirling around it. Pei Zi Yun didn't look at it carefully, and thought to himself, "Let's leave the city first."

"Master Top Scorer, the Crown Prince has instructed us not to take the same route we came from. Let's take another route." The official spoke as he led Pei Zi Yun away. Pei Zi Yun sat down in the ox-cart and looked at the rain without speaking. The ox-cart moved slowly, and only the sound of the rain and the hooves of the ox-cart could be heard.

After some time, they passed by a peach tree. He stretched out his hand and plucked a peach blossom. He then thought of the original owner, "With such a strong suppression, no wonder the Daoist was only a minor Daoist. Xie Cheng Dong obtained the Plum Blossom and had to assist King Lu. He had to meddle with the Imperial Qi and obtain the title of Crown Prince."

"Everything else is secondary. I have to improve my abilities as soon as possible. The most important thing now is to increase my reputation." Pei Zi Yun thought to himself.

The wind started to pick up, and the peach blossom in his hand was blown into the air.

"The wind is picking up." Pei Zi Yun looked at the petals in the distance, as his long hair fluttered in the wind.

Dark Altar Daoist Temple

The sky gradually darkened. Spring was always rainy like this. There were several guards at the entrance. On the walls surrounding the Daoist temple, there were many runes engraved on the bamboo. These runes seemed to emit a faint spiritual light, constantly fighting against the black gas that was constantly eroding it. It was as if the entire Daoist temple was covered in a kind of deep darkness.

The inside of the Dao Gymnasium was pitch black. There was no color at all. The blind Daoist sat upright. His bloodied eyes stared at the black anchor. There were cracks on the surface of the anchor, and there were black rays of light circling around it. It was as though the cracks were being mended and restored.

"Unfilial disciple, you've revealed the Heavenly Dao. My hundred year plan was almost destroyed in a single day. How hateful." The Blind Daoist thought to himself as his face turned ashen, "Luckily you didn't hurt your foundation. You can still be saved."

Just as he finished speaking, he heard a loud "pa" sound. The anchor that was placed on the top of the Daoist temple shook. The cracks on the anchor seemed to have opened up yet again. Hearing this sound, the blind Daoist's face was filled with fear.

The entire world was silent. Soon after, a loud "boom" sound could be heard. A bolt of lightning fell from the sky. It was just about to land on the Daoist temple, when it deviated slightly and landed outside of the Daoist temple. A tree that was as thick as the mouth of a bowl was snapped in half. The lightning started to burn, but was extinguished by the rain.

Soon after, several more bolts of lightning struck down. As they neared the Daoist temple, they deviated and struck the ground.

One of the guards at the entrance raised his head and looked at the lightning falling from the dark skies. His expression wasn't good. He sighed and whispered to his companions, "What do you guys think the blind Daoist has been doing in there lately? Why does he always stay in the Daoist temple and not go out?"

"Besides, I don't know if you guys have noticed, but I keep feeling that the Daoist temple has become very dark and gloomy. Just looking at it makes me feel uncomfortable. The lightning in the skies makes me feel uneasy. Could it be that he's done something evil in there?"

The guard was a new recruit who had only been in the temple for a month. Just as he finished speaking, the leader's face turned cold as he reprimanded the guard, "Don't say such things again. Later on, go and receive ten strokes of the cane. If there's a next time, be careful of your dog head."

Hearing the leader's words, the guard's body trembled. He knew the weight of ten strokes of the cane, and didn't dare to rebuke. He then replied, "Yes, leader."

After the leader finished reprimanding the guard, he subconsciously glanced at the Daoist temple. There was a palpitating aura emanating from the temple, and he couldn't put his finger on it. It felt like there was a gigantic beast lurking there, and it felt like there was a monster lurking there. It was just that he wasn't sure what it was. All he knew was that there was a blind and crippled Daoist who couldn't leave the temple.

The iron anchor on the incense burner within the Daoist temple began to crack and crack. The Blind Daoist's skin was bleeding profusely, like a corpse's blood. It was as if there was an immense amount of pressure weighing down on the Daoist's body. As the crack grew, the pressure on the Daoist grew stronger and stronger. Eventually, he couldn't move a single inch, and couldn't even make a sound.

The crack didn't grow any further. Within the crack on the iron anchor, a black aura emanated out to fill the gap. Originally, the flame of the oil lamp on the incense burner had been extinguished. However, as the pressure on the lamp dissipated, the black aura gushed out, and the green flame of the lamp lit up, glowing faintly.

"Wa!" The Blind Daoist spat out a mouthful of blood. The blood was originally bright red, but as it dripped onto the ground, it slowly turned black, and emitted a foul stench.

"Damn it, my fate energy is being torn apart." The Blind Daoist's body trembled as he retrieved a porcelain bottle with fear in his eyes. He poured out a medicinal pill and swallowed it. He then mumbled to himself, "The Heavens have changed. The Imperial Qi attached to me seems to be weakening. The backlash is getting stronger and stronger.

"Not good. King Lu's fate energy is weakening, and the Crown Prince's fate energy is rising. If King Lu's plan is broken, then everything will be over. His body and soul will be destroyed, and he will never be able to reincarnate." The Blind Daoist thought of this and didn't hesitate any longer. He then shouted out, "Quick, invite Young Master in. I have something important to report."

"Did something strange happen today?" An hour later, Xie Cheng Dong, who was dressed in a straw raincoat, didn't enter the Daoist temple immediately. Instead, he asked expressionlessly.

"Young Master, lightning struck down from the heavens today. Following that, the Daoist invited Young Master in. Apart from that, there was nothing strange." The team leader replied. He had many suspicions in his heart, but didn't say anything unnecessary.

"Is that so?" Xie Cheng Dong frowned as he looked at a tree which had obviously been struck by lightning. He paused for sometime before stepping into the Daoist temple. However, the moment he stepped in, he felt that something was wrong.

Within the Daoist temple, there was a greyish black Qi pervading the air, along with a foul stench. When Xie Cheng Dong smelled it, he frowned. This was a backlash. The backlash from the heavens was getting stronger and stronger. How much longer could the blind Daoist hold on?

"Young Master Xie, did something big happen recently? The backlash from the heavens has caused King Lu's fate energy to weaken. If this goes on, I'm afraid I won't be able to hold on for more than a year. Young Master will also meet with a calamity. "The blind Daoist spoke as he revealed a look of fear.

"What? Since the backlash from the heavens is this serious, why didn't you say anything earlier? " Xie Cheng Dong looked at the blind Daoist's expression and felt a sense of satisfaction in his heart. When he heard these words, he frowned.

"Young Master, who told you that the backlash would accumulate gradually?"

"Initially, it wasn't too bad. However, there was a sudden flash of lightning and thunder today. The Imperial Qi which had enveloped the entire Daoist temple suddenly weakened, and heaven's wrath appeared once again. That's why I hurriedly contacted Young Master. This is a warning from the heavens, and we mustn't be careless." The blind Daoist saw that Xie Cheng Dong's expression wasn't right, and realized that he had lost his composure. He then hurriedly regained his composure and spoke slowly.

Xie Cheng Dong paced several steps before he frowned and spoke, "I've received news that King Lu made a move against Pei Zi Yun not too long ago. He killed two sixth ranked eunuchs and a group of soldiers from King Lu's Mansion. We've also lost our spies from Liang and Yong. Could it be that this has damaged our foundations, and ruined our fortunes?"

Hearing these words, the blind Daoist pondered for some time before speaking, "According to logic, the deaths of two sixth ranked eunuchs and tens of soldiers wouldn't be able to damage King Lu's foundations. As for the loss of our spies, it's indirect, and wouldn't have such a huge impact on King Lu."

"But the Imperial Qi has weakened, and I've suffered from the backlash. This is a fact. My foundations must have been damaged somewhere. The Crown Prince has obtained good fortune, but King Lu's fortune has been damaged. His foundations have been damaged, and he has been weakened. I'm afraid he's in danger now."

"What? Damn it. "Xie Cheng Dong stood up and paced several steps. His face was ice cold," Who was it? Who caused this change? Could it be Pei Zi Yun? "

Hearing these words, the blind Daoist spoke slowly, "Pei Zi Yun has gone against us several times. Now that the Imperial Qi has changed, I'm sure it has something to do with this person."

"I'm afraid this is the backlash from our previous plan to snatch the Thread of Dao."

Xie Cheng Dong laughed coldly, "If you follow, you'll become a mortal, if you go against, you'll become an immortal. Since we've snatched it, we can't return it. To attain Dao, how can we not snatch it? This kid has tried to kill us several times. Isn't that the same as stealing our fortunes? Hearing your words, I suspect that this kid has a huge source of fortune on him. If not, how could he have become a Yin Master within two years?"

"You have to know that I've snatched the original Main Fruit's fate, and obtained many opportunities. Even so, it took me five years to become a Yin Master. What did he do to achieve this so quickly?"

"Whether or not he has any treasures, I'm not sure. Other than the fact that the heavens have been messed up for a long time, everything is in chaos. However, based on the overall situation, this person must be the source."

"Haha, this person wants to snatch the Thread of Dao as well?" Xie Cheng Dong spoke coldly. His tone was filled with impatience, "Mister, tell me, will there be any more changes in the heavens?"

Xie Cheng Dong's words caused the blind Daoist to shiver. He knew that Xie Cheng Dong was starting to get suspicious, but he still said, "This, I really don't know."

"Is that so? Then Mister, rest well. "As soon as he finished speaking, Xie Cheng Dong turned around and left." Kuang ", the door slammed shut.

"I can feel it. You're about to make up your mind."

"You Xie father and son are too suspicious and greedy. Back then when you were casting your spells, you were afraid of me. If not, things wouldn't have turned out this way. It's just that our fates have long been linked. If I can't escape, can you?" The blind Daoist spoke softly before laughing out loud. He then coughed several times, as blood flowed out from his mouth, which then turned black.
