The elevator slowly ascended before stopping on the sixth floor.

The silver elevator door opened before Chen Ge, and the cold air from the air conditioner blew into the elevator. The temperature inside the building was much lower than outside.

The bright light reflected off the tiles. The corridor was very clean, and there was not a single piece of trash to be seen.

"The eastern campus' lab building looks like this, but the lights are off."

Chen Ge stared at the glass on the door, and it reflected his own reflection.

"I feel like I've been here before, but how come I don't have any recollection of it?" Zhang Ju raised his head slightly, and he saw his own face reflected in the glass. The fire had burned his skin until it was uneven, and just looking at it made him feel uncomfortable.

He rubbed his head like he was trying to remember something.

"It's fine if you can't remember. Sometimes, I have this feeling as well. I've just arrived at a strange place, and even though I haven't been here before, it feels very familiar. It's like I've been dreaming about this place." Chen Ge placed his hand on Zhang Ju's shoulder, and the warmth of his palm chased away the anxiety in Zhang Ju's heart.

"Thank you, sir. I'm fine, but I do feel like I've been here before," Zhang Ju added. Zhang Ju added, "Not in a dream but in reality. I can still vaguely remember some things in my mind. They are like a large lump of burnt meat. I need to dig through the bloody surface to see them." Chen Ge shook his head and said, "That's not a dream but real life.

"That's a very vivid metaphor." Chen Ge realized that Zhang Ju was different from other children. For some reason, he had retained a lot of his memory. "Come, let's go to the autopsy room first."

Chen Ge had Zhang Ju lead the way, and they found the autopsy room at the end of the corridor.

"The lights are off, and there's no one inside." Zhu Long leaned against the window on the door to peek. Using the light from the corridor, he could see the cold metal autopsy tables inside the room.

Just looking at this made his body tremble slightly, as if it was an instinct.

"Mr. Bai, should we go in?" Zhou Tu was feeling rather agitated. "If we don't go back now, the bathroom will run out of hot water."

"Wait a minute!" It was not Chen Ge who spoke but Zhu Long, who leaned against the door. "Since we're already here, why don't we go in to take a look?"

"The door is locked. Should we go find the manager now? Tell him that we want to enter the autopsy room to look for supernatural phenomena? Can you stop joking? " Zhou Tu felt like there was something wrong with the club that he had joined. He bit the tip of his tongue harshly. In fact, ever since he entered this school, he had been feeling very uneasy. He had been having the same dream for several days straight, and it had tortured him greatly.

He had been pretending to be calm and composed in front of ordinary people, but in fact, he was already on the verge of collapse.

"A strange school, and an even stranger society."

"Don't bother the administrator, I have the key." Chen Ge said as he took out a bunch of keys from his pocket. "I have more power than you can imagine."

The club members did not expect Chen Ge to have so many keys. They were so shocked that no one noticed that the numbers on the keys were different from the ones on the western campus. Some of the keys were even stained with blood.

Chen Ge stood with his back facing the students. He used his body to block the door. He rattled the keys with one hand and reached for a scalpel and wire from the tool room with the other.

From the beginning, he did not think about using the key to open the door. Due to his profession, he had seen many locks and been to many schools, so he was quite confident in his ability to open locks.

After a minute, Chen Ge's forehead was covered in sweat.

"Mr. Bai, have you forgotten which key is this door?" Zhang Ju and Zhu Long crowded around him. Chen Ge did not expect the lock to be so difficult to open.

He silently put away the scalpel and wire. Before the club members got close, he shoved a large key into the keyhole.

"The keyhole has been blocked. I'll open the door first, and I'll find someone to fix it tomorrow." Chen Ge signaled for Zhu Long and the rest to step back. He looked around. There were no surveillance cameras around, and they were relatively close to the stairs.

"Find someone to fix it?" Before the club members understood what was going on, they saw Chen Ge kick the lock.

"Bang!"

The lock that had been loosened earlier could not withstand such a huge force, and the door opened with a bang.

"Zhou Tu, you stay outside with Xiao Wang. If anyone comes, tell them that they are students here and came to take a look because they heard the noise," Chen Ge said casually before leading Zhang Ju and Zhu Long into the autopsy room.

"Mr. Bai is trying to take all the responsibility on himself?" Wang Yicheng was quite touched. The man before him did not look that special, but sometimes, his actions would make people feel warm.

"He wants us to stand guard outside, right? Is that something a teacher would do? "Zhou Tu held Wang Yicheng and looked at the broken door.

The autopsy room at this school was only half the size of the one at Jiujiang University of Law and Medicine, but it was well-equipped. It looked like it was copied from the autopsy room at Jiujiang University of Law and Medicine.

"The underground morgue is at Jiujiang Medical University. That medical school is one of the prerequisites for the School of the Afterlife."

Chen Ge was thinking about the connection between the School of the Afterlife and the prerequisites. He was distracted for a moment when he turned around and realized that his two club members were acting strangely.

Zhu Long stood next to the first row of autopsy tables. His fingers brushed across the cold metal table like he was caressing his lover's skin, and his eyes were unfocused.

Zhang Ju stood next to the window. He pulled back the curtain and looked at the mirror frame that was hidden behind the curtain.

"Why would there be a mirror frame here?" In the maintenance room at the eastern campus, Chen Ge had seen several mirrors that were dyed red. He realized that mirrors had a special meaning at this school. "How come I don't see a mirror?"

"Mirrors are not allowed in the autopsy room. The mirror should have been taken away," Zhang Ju blurted out.

"Then how did you know there was a mirror frame here?"

"I don't know." Zhang Ju shook his head, and his voice became louder. "I don't know, I really don't know. I just … pulled back the curtain and saw it."

"Okay, I believe you." Chen Ge grabbed Zhang Ju's shoulders lightly. "It'll be fine."

Half of Zhang Ju's face was covered in scars. When he was agitated, his expression was scary, but Chen Ge did not let go.

He sensed another emotion from this panicking child — guilt. Hidden under Zhang Ju's scary expression was a heart that had nowhere to go.

Chen Ge did not know what had happened to the boy, but he knew that the lock that locked the boy's memory was slowly loosening because of the mirror frame in his hands.

"Based on the color and pattern of the mirror frame, the owner of the mirror is most likely a girl." Many clues were slowly connecting in Chen Ge's mind. He was reminded of the story that Zhang Ju had told him. The boy appeared to have witnessed the murder.
