From Lijiang, I went directly to Linzhi in Tibet. After that, I went to Lhasa. After leaving Lhasa, I went to Qinghai. After that, I went to Xinjiang. After returning from Xinjiang, I went to Yinchuan. After that, I went from Inner Mongolia to Hohhot and Zhangjiakou. Finally, I went back to Beijing.
Other than the three eastern provinces and a few cities in the central region, I basically went to more than half of China on this trip.
It sounded very cool, but I actually had this idea last year. It just so happened that I got a new car at the end of the year. This time, I went to Beihai with my wife to visit my in-laws. Since I had already traveled 2400 kilometers, I might as well travel around the country by myself.
While I was still young, there were still a lot of places I could go. I didn't want to wait until I had time/money/mood to go. Traveling thousands of miles was good for writing and even for life. Therefore, this vacation might be very long. I estimated that it would take another two or three months. Because this trip is a journey, not a tour. I'm not going to rush to the scenic spots to take photos of tourists who will leave after visiting the place. I want to get in touch with the wider world and see more sceneries. This is what I want to do.
I brought an iPad and keyboard with me on the road. However, the current update should be for another book. I didn't have the energy to update two books at the same time. It was normal to be tired from the trip. However, when I arrived at a place that was suitable for me to stay for a few more days, I would take some time to write some updates. For example, Suhang or Lijiang.
