A Show of Strength

Zhifeng's eyes widened at Lin Yi's words- the kid must know something! Zhifeng would've been relieved if Lin Yi had acted like he didn't know what was going on, but Lin Yi had said something like this. Zhifeng could tell what was going on no matter how stupid he was.

Fortunately, Lin Yi's words meant that he didn't want to stick his nose in his business. Zhifeng relaxed a little. If the principal or the board of directors were to find out about this, he'd be done for as a dean.

"Haha!" Zhifeng laughed dryly. "Lin Yi, if you run into any trouble in school, feel free to look for me! Remember my phone number later! "

"Thank you, Mr. Wang!" Lin Yi quickly put on a fearful expression as he thanked Zhifeng. Lin Yi knew that his identity was a little special. He was here for Mengyao, and it was only natural that he'd do something out of line. He couldn't go to Pengzhan and Faubert for help every time something happened, so he might as well use this opportunity to build a good relationship with Zhifeng.

It seemed like he'd achieved his goal. As long as he didn't go overboard, Zhifeng would be able to take care of it for him.

Lin Yi followed Zhifeng to class five's classroom. Zhifeng pushed the door open and waved at the homeroom teacher. "This is the new transfer student, Lin Yi. Please arrange a seat for him!"

Pinliang's eyes widened when he saw Lin Yi. That's right, wasn't this the kid who kicked him yesterday?! He, Gao Xiaofu, and Naipao had been chasing after him for half a day, but they'd let him slip away. Who would've thought that he'd come knocking on his door again!

"I'm Lin Yi. My name is Lin Yi, Yi as in elegant." After a brief self-introduction, the homeroom teacher arranged for him to sit at a single table at the back of the class.

The homeroom teacher understood that Lin Yi had some sort of background, but it wasn't the right time to arrange seats at the start of the school year. The homeroom teacher couldn't do anything about it now, so he had to force Lin Yi to sit at the back for now.

Lin Yi, however, wasn't too particular about his seat- he nodded happily and walked to the last row of the class.

Mengyao's head was lowered as Lin Yi introduced himself, and Yushu, on the other hand, stared at Lin Yi like a curious baby. It gave Lin Yi the creeps. This Miss Chen was even harder to deal with than Miss Chu!

Pinliang shot a glance at Naipao, since Lin Yi had to walk past him to get to his seat. Naipao made an 'OK' gesture at Pinliang, indicating that there was no problem.

Lin Yi had noticed it the moment he entered the class- Pinliang was a student of twelfth grade class five as well, and so he paid extra attention to him. All of his little movements after that naturally entered Lin Yi's eyes.

When Lin Yi walked past Naipao, the latter raised his right leg, intending to send Lin Yi tumbling. Lin Yi smiled in disdain as he raised his leg to kick, but if he did, Naipao's bones would probably be fractured. It was Lin Yi's first day at school, and he didn't want to cause too much trouble. He stepped on Naipao's foot, causing him to yelp in pain.

"Ah? What's this? " Lin Yi looked at Naipao, not knowing what was going on. "Sorry, I stepped on your foot!"

"Zhang Naipao, do you have a problem?" The homeroom teacher, Miss Liu, knew what Naipao was like, but the kid had some background, and he hung out with Pinliang all the time. Miss Liu couldn't say much.

"It's … It's nothing …" Naipao's face was red from the pain as he shook his head, suppressing the numbness in his foot. Naturally, he wouldn't tell the teacher what Lin Yi did. That'd be too embarrassing.

Pinliang was quite far away, so he didn't know what happened between Lin Yi and Naipao, but when he saw that Lin Yi was fine and Naipao was the one making a fuss, he looked at Naipao with a reproachful gaze.

Naipao couldn't say it out loud, so he could only stare at Lin Yi, thinking that he'd get back at him after class. He didn't know if Lin Yi was doing it on purpose or not, since Lin Yi didn't even look at his feet when he walked. His apologetic attitude made it seem like he really didn't know what was going on, and that made Naipao very depressed.

Lin Yi's seat wasn't too far from Mengyao and Yushu, and he could see them as soon as he raised his head. It wasn't a bad choice, since he could keep an eye on the two at all times. After all, his main responsibility was to take care of Mengyao, and he was paid to do so.

It was Lin Yi's first day at school- he'd never been to a classroom before, and he'd only seen the classroom, the school, and the students in the classroom from the internet.

Lin Yi opened his bag and took out his physics textbook. The first class was physics, and Lin Yi had confirmed it with the timetable.

"Today is Lin Yi's first day at school- I hope that everyone can take care of the new classmate. Also, I don't want to see anyone bully the new students. He's already a twelfth grader, and I don't want anyone to be unable to graduate because of this. "Miss Liu still had to warn Pinliang and the others. Pinliang, in particular, was known as one of the Big Four in school, and bullying other students was nothing out of the ordinary for him.

Of course, Pinliang didn't seem to care about the warning.

Lin Yi was flipping through his book when a small ball of paper fell on his desk. Lin Yi froze. This Zhang Naipao couldn't be that bad, could he? Throwing a paper ball at him after getting stepped on? How was he at kindergarten level?

Lin Yi raised his head to find Yushu looking at him with a smile on her face. Lin Yi felt a chill run down his spine. This wasn't the girl's doing, was it?

Yushu pointed at the paper ball on Lin Yi's desk before turning away. Lin Yi paused as he looked at the paper ball on his desk, and then at Yushu's back. Was this the legendary 'passing notes'?

Man, it'd be great if it was a pretty and gentle girl passing notes to him. Yushu was just one of the few things that matter- she was pretty, but gentle was nowhere to be found.
